It will be a battle in Whitewater tomorrow!  The key to the game will be whether or not the Johnnies can weather an early storm of excitement from the Warhawks and their fans.  As long as they don't allow Whitewater to jump them early for a couple scores, I look for the Johnnies to play well and win going away 34-17. 
Good luck Cobbers...I would like to see an SJU rematch with you at Clemens next weekend!

Seems by reading most of the other reagions posts, the sju and uww game is deamed to be the closest.  I would have to agree that THIS is the game to see.  (Good call Pat C). but as far as the cobb making it past Lin. ..... welllll.... just dont think its gonna happen.  I do think it will be closer than a lot of other regions think though.  Good Luck to all the teams in the west.  No matter what, the road still will probably go through MUC, as much as i hate to say it.   Looking at their stats, they are solid.

Cobbers, have a safe trip out here if you're not already. On your old website, I remember there was a link to your playoff seasons (it's not there anymore as parts are under construction) and I read about last time you guys played us in 1978. The article mentioned that after the semifinal playoff game, Linfield sent your school a letter because the players and coaches were so impressed with your sportsmanship and fairplay during the game. Here's to hoping that continues. You'll see that our boys will do the same this year in victory as they roll over you in a big way. As chewey stated, they are in a class all their own right now. This year it's a different west coast team that ends your season.

As far as SJU/UWW, we heard about how big and strong La Crosse was last year, even from some of the MUC fans who had played them the year before. They were just that, as I'm sure UWW is this season. But this isn't sumo wrestling is it? Speed kills baby, and so does great coaching, which the Johnnies have every year. I think SJU takes this one. This has already been a great year for your conference, with two MIAC teams winning at least one playoff game.

I may be right, or I may be way off, but I'm predicting SJU/Linfield III (alright technically IV, but I never saw the first game and wouldn't have wanted to given what happened).

Couldnt agree with you more bout the johnnie game tomorrow.  Actually think you will see a better game than predicted yourself,  the cobbs always seem to hang around and cause trouble.... sometimes it just doesnt make sense how they do it???  Maybe just 25+ years of havin them give us pains.
Back to next weekend, it will be nice to see the valley again, seems like a nice little rivalry brewin out your way.  Maybe the johnnies have one more win up their sleeve in this interesting year.?/

Duffy - You're basically getting up as I'm going to bed. I got a call from Frank and Mongo a little while ago and they seemed to be having a good time. I got put on hold for about two minutes as they were arguing over who was "soberist to drive in the morning."

I'll be going on no sleep when I get to your place.  It was a bad day for purple teams at the dome today, so hopefully that trend continues and we end up with an all-MIAC West Region final at Clemens next week.
