Rebounding off last weeks heartbreaker against gustavus I think this Carleton comes out firing on saturday.  Carleton needs to win these next 2 games to have a shot at the title coming down to the end of the season.  The offense is clicking and will be healthy again.  This team has nothing to lose and I expect them to come out playing like it.

Worst Case Scenario: 5-5 best season in many years. Bright future ahead.
Best Case Scenario:  9-1 best season ever. Who needs the future.

Score on Saturday:

CAR 34   STU  21

I'm predicting a missed extra point by Carleton.  Pretty hard not to.

Bright future ahead? While I agree that the Knights are a good team this fall, I'm not sure I can agree with that until I see who they have stepping in at QB and, potentially, head coach. It could be a complete rebuilding project, for all we know right now...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Here's to you...Mr Bethel Photographer Guy...for making my evening one full of laughter. You gotta admit, this image is quite hilarious...

Definitely one of those pictures that you could make up what's going through their minds...

Oh, that's funny  :D  Click below for the full-size image.

The player on the far right #9? looks absolutely stunned that his team"mates" would violate the honor code like that; and on the football field ::) ::)
Doesn't it look like he's trying to unbutton or unzip his fly?  His helmet even says BJ.

QB-  Ramler brought in something like 7 or 8 qbs in this years recruiting class.  Some have moved to other positions.  Backup qb right now is Freshman Vaugn Schmidt.  Seems to be very athletic and has a good arm.

Head Coach-  Definitley agree with you on that point.  Will be starting all over if Ramler was to leave.

You mean, best season since 1992, when the Knigggits went 9-1 in the regular season and won the MIAC title outright under Bob Sullivan (SJU '58).

Hmmm...Johnnies tend to win at Carleton......

No pressure, stanbob, but you're the only MIACer, much less Johnnie, within striking distance of our pick-em's.

Do us proud ('cause God knows I ain't).

And, thanks to Drudge, we learn of the happy times coming tmerton's way.  KR may need to ask for a transfer up north.

San Francisco weighs decriminalizing prostitution

Proponents say the measure will free up $11 million the police spend each year arresting prostitutes and allow them to form collectives.

"It will allow workers to organize for our rights and for our safety," said Patricia West, 22, who said she has been selling sex for about a year by placing ads on the Internet. She moved to San Francisco in May from Texas to work on Proposition K.

SanFran... always looking for ways to attract the most upstanding citizens.  Two questions: Why does prostitution enforcement prevent the police from forming a "collective"  (Can we get an editor in here, please?)?  And can anyone think of a more successful way for a woman (or man, I guess) to ensure their safety besides "organizing" as a prostitute (And what are the pimps for if not organization?)?

I've been trying to figure out how to work a "blumpkin" into this but it's just too much of a stretch. ;)
