Oz, I hope that you aren't complaining about the lack of humidity, I would much rather do without it than have it.
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I've had 110 degrees with 10% humidity and 80 degrees with 80% humidity and I'll take the 110/10 any day.

snoop dawg

Try the Colorado river in Havasu when it is 115.  the only humidity I have there is the numerous beers I drink.

So, did you ever go to the men's room at a sporting event and find yourself standing at the trough digging in your pants for ten seconds looking for the flap only to realize that you put your boxers on backwards and the flap is in the back?  No?  Well let me assure you that it is embarrassing.

No, I can't say that I have! ;) It is more like have you ever gone to the women's bathroom at a sporting event and stood in line for 30+ minutes waiting for the opportunity to see if you put your underwear on backwards! 8)

The other day it 37 degrees here with 89% humidity and it was not raining. Cold and damp is not a picnic either. It chills you down to your bones! :D

For all you hot stovers .... Matt Garza sighting here in Tampa at Charlie's Steakhouse on Cypress yesterday evening. Not the best steak place in town but he was surrounded by a bevy of young, beautiful things and seemed to attract more.

snoop dawg

For all you golf guys........look for this snoop dawg to be in a Tiger Woods commercial that will be shot in May.  He was looking for a swing that resembles his, unfortunately, I am just going to carry a golf bag.  I am really excited.

I know you are all sick of the weather updates, but this is friggin' nuts.  It is currently 44.7C.  That is 112.5F and there is only 9% humidity.

It's like I'm living in a fan forced oven.  At this point, a little below zero in a nice warm house would suit me just fine.

Oz, if you want to send 40 or 50 of those Fahrenheit degrees to Michigan, we'll gladly accept! :D

We'll usually get four or five scattered days over 40C (104F) in a summer, but we had three in a row that broke 43 (109.4).  Hottest in a long, long time.  Next week expects another three days over 40.

A great thing about the Melbourne heat waves are the inevitable cool change.  This heat wave's cool change just came through and it feels like someone turned on a giant air conditioner, even though it's still warm.  It got up to 45.1 (113.2) this afternoon.  Twenty minutes later and we're sitting on 32 (89.6).
The weather sounds great!

That weather reminds me of two-a-days (football practice in August before the start of school), growing up in central Texas in the 1960's.

Before all of the lakes were built in Texas (for flood control and water reservoirs), it was not nearly as humid!

Well... (feeling uncomfortable)...

I thought I was basically commenting in a whiny voice to no one in particular.  Little did I realize my trumped up claims of suffering too much heat would engender response.

So, yup, it's very hot, but manageable.  I do miss snowmobiling, though.

I'll take the Cardinals in the SB because they have an Aussie punting.  Otherwise I don't care about the two teams that much; the Vikings ripped out my caring heart and stomped upon it's lifeless pulp yet again this year.

Speaking of careless hearts, when the CIA needs another batch of James Bond killers, they should recruit disgruntled Minnesotans and tell them that the bad guys support teams with competent administration.

Like a dagger to the heart...  (sigh)

What - they actually showed the SB in Oz-land?

They used to show ARF in the US, around the time ESPN was televising the CFL. Late night television at its best, along with ads for Earl Schieb auto paint centers (paint your car for $39!) and Chia Pets for Christmas presents. ;)

tmerton

Speaking of chia pets, how about Chia Obama!  Available at Drugstore.com

Bob and Steve should pick up on this, don't you think? ;D

In HD even.  And we have flushing toilets... ;) (unfair shot, but why should that stop me?)

And a hello to the lurking KR.  Long time no see.  It's a shame those Navy goons won't let you post and browse.  I hope all is going well and San Dog is treating you right.
