wildcat - I'm inclined to agree, though I was watching through the voice of Linneman on the net. I guess there goes the theory that the J's can get rid of their sloppiness in big games/when it matters. That's a dangerous mentality to take and it finally came back to bite them.

It seems like Kofoed's had trouble with that his whole career at SJU. He's got two years left to figure it out, or else he and his teammates will never live up to their potential.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Not sure what to say about SJU/WW game. In the early going, SJU's passing to the backs looked good. They had excellent blocking on those plays. Expected to see a big dose of that in the second half, but didn't.

Really enjoyed meeting ROR, Duff, Bus Driver and all. Seem like a really good bunch of guys.

Would like to see a re-match in one week, on a 50 degree day, just to see if the results would be different.

Still a bit overwhelmed, AND a little drunk, so will save my customary smart assed remarks for another time.

developing.....(I learned that from you guys)

Man...the Cobbers are for real. Very quick on defense and with that ball control they they can bend your mind. I think Linfield only had the ball for a couple minutes of the 1st quarter. Unbelievable effort by Concordia. I've heard they are young too so I expect them back in the thick of things next year.....

Chewey....you're at it again with your rope a dope!

Congrats Cobbers,
Your boys played a perfect first half.  Just as all of you on the board described they would.  Your QB was athletic, broke off some nice runs and had a decent touch in the air.  As for your D--They were able to bring pressure and cover the deep ball threat of the Cats all day.  All in all it was a great game to watch.
   Props to the Cobbers

Just back from Whitewater.

Have not yet looked at any game stats.

Whitewater is the real deal.  Yes, the Johnnies played poorly.  However, Whitewater was clearly the better team.  They are big, physical, and fast.  For the most part the SJU defense played pretty well.  The offense gave WW great field position too many times and made the defense stay on the field too long.

IMHO, if WW plays like this next week they have a real good chance of knocking off Linfield.  Their defense is as good (or better) than Concordia and their offense is much better.

Oldpa,

Great to meet you today.  And thanks for the beer.

You warned us.  Guess we should have been listening.   ;D

Good luck against Linfield next week.

ROR....I was hoping for a Johnnie rematch and to get together with all the Johnnie fans down at the Elks Club this Friday but I guess it will have to wait. To tell you the trueth, I wasn't really that thrilled to play the Johnnies again because they always pull those tricks out of their hat and have rope a dopers like Chewey.

Bluenote,

I was looking forward to that as well.  Just adds to the disappointment of the loss today.   >:(

Based on the WW team I saw today, you might have preferred the Johnnies.   ;D

Maybe next year.

Good luck against the Warhawks.

...thanks ROR. Sounds like WW is tough. Johnnies had a rare "off" day. So, if we can beat WW you will be a Wildcat Fan?    ;D

Congrats to the Cobbers for what I heard was a great game today. Great season!

Congrats also to the Johnnies, especially the seniors. I know it didn't end the way you wanted it to today, but 11-1 is an incredible year. Remember you leave with alot more than wins and losses.

Congrats to both the Cobbers and Johnnies on great season.

This season has been a blast and I'm already excited about next year.

Just add me to the list to Congratulate the Cobbers for your  great hard fought game today.  You did yourselves proud and are a credit to the MIAC.  Your running attack was amazing but we learned quickly that just becouse you don't pass a lot does not mean that you don't have a good passing game when you decide to use it.

Your defense was very tough and sacking Elliott as you did happens rarely.

sorry we won't be gathering with the Johnnies next week at the Elks. Two years in a row now you've ducked us.  There is always next year. The Cobbers truly showed us what a tough conference you have back in Minnesota.  The MIAC was definately representated well today at the Catdome.

Mrs. Tux and I were both students the last time the Cobbers came to town and ended our season.  It took a few years, sorry, but payback is sweet!  Congrats on a fine season.  We saw a very talented team from the MIAC, they just ran into a very special Linfield sqaud.  GO CATS!.............LEAVE NO DOUBT!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
