It appears someone beat the Aussies to this idea.

The boy was looking at the poop-shaped lights and dish covers and the curry on toilet-shaped plates.

Diarrhea for dinner? That's the point. "It's supposed to shock and confuse the senses," says Modern Toilet manager Chen Min-kuang. But as Jennifer Finch, an American who was dining there, described it, "They do it tastefully. It's all very clean."

From what demented mind did this idea emerge?  I can't imagine how food, no matter how tasty, that is presented in this manner can possibly be enjoyable to eat.  Do it in a college dorm and everyone laughs like Spicoli.  Put it on a linen tablecloth and people will pay $40 a plate.  Crazy.

Thought I'd share a recent photo of our pup.  He just turned 11 months old this weekend.

I know Stephanie is vertically challenged, but that is one big dog.

If he does the same thing to me, he's got me beat, too.  He's probably about 6'6" on his hind legs.

Nice Marlin, about 125 lbs., or so. Still smaller than your dog, I'm afraid.

No Snoop sighting that I knew of, though there were a lot of sweet boats floating around out there. Snoop, was that you?

DuffMan

Nice, Fins!  Okay, you have to explain why there is a fish laying on the floor in the photo of you fighting your fish.

Very observant, Senor Duffman! One of the guys with me caught that one and towards the end he was just reeling dead weight. Turns out the fish twisted and got the line wrapped around its tail and the last 50 yards was reeled in tail first. We practice catch-and-release, but this one was a goner, so in it came.

fins, where did you go fishing?  If you were catching Marlin, it wasn't me ;)  Not that season here yet. I did catch a good sized halibut last weekend.  Trouble is, I''m afraid to eat it since it was caught in the Santa Monica Bay.

Is the ice off lakes north of the Twin Cities?

It's like a 70's disaster movie around here tonight.  We just had a mid-evening feature of EARTHQUAKE!  I know these things are NBD ('No Big Deal', as my older girls have taught me) for you old salt California disaster hands, but it's still a little thrill for this Minnesota boy.

Are you serious?  There's a lot of ice out there.  Pool 2 of the Mississippi is about the only open water around the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.

Cabo. Not supposed to be the season there, either (peak is Oct/Nov). But out at the golden gate reef, they were roiling the surface and we could have caught them all day long.
