Apparently, this is what St. Olaf does with all the spare time they don't have to spend on planning Football playoff tailgate parties!

I can't watch the video at work (thank goodness) because I have visions of TDT in his mother's bathroom with a copy of the summer JC Penny catalog.  I'm not quite sure what KR is asking us to view.  Shudder.

(spelled that "catalogue" when I first typed it, but the American spelling checker in my browser caught the difference.  Next thing you know, I'll be crying during the annual memorial special for Princess Diana)..

Also, I just saw a reference from flash that Shouldabeen seems to have gone.  His old posts are now owned by:

Does anyone know where he is?  Is he coming back?  We'll miss the monkey avatar come game day.  Damn those politics boards (if they were guilty of convincing him to leave; actually, damn them anyway).

I know it is a little ways out, but mark out Saturday, July 11 for MIAC Night at the Chaska ballpark. Game starts at 7:00 p.m. with plenty of Stiftungsfest burgers to be served.

Finsleft, very nice article in ths Star Tribune yesterday on Lady Gaga. Wish I could make the concert at the Fine Line this evening in Mpls.

Mike Evans on KQRS this morning mentioned that Paris Hilton is very concerned about her falling stature and is going to be working with a PR firm to enhance her image. Might be the time for her to hookup with TDT. :o

I saw that, JR. When I read that she was cut from the same cloth as Paris, the picture became clearer. (Same school, same obsession with fame, etc...)
I figure 2 tickets to Gaga cost about the same as my cable bill, so for the same money, I've got HDTV for a month. Now if I watch Japan vs S. Korea tonight in the WBC, I won't feel so ashamed.

I forgot to share that I had a Snoopdawg-esque brush with fame last weekend.  I was at a bar (hard to believe, I know) and ran into Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand, captains of the Time Bandit on the show Deadliest Catch.  I briefly said hi and shook hands, but both had had quite a few beers at that point  ;)

A tradition unrivaled...

Duff,

I know you like fishing and all, but traveling to Dutch Harbor to pick up your new boat sounds a little extreme ;) ;)  Those boats also seem a little large for the TC's waterways.  That show is a lot of fun to watch.

Hope all the Minnesotans and North Dakotans stay dry and safe this week as rain/flooding/blizzards are in the forecast.

Congrats to Gustavus (which is now pronounced, according to the ESPNU announcer - Goose Davis) for making the final.

He also made reference to another MIAC school he called HAM - LINE.   ;)

:D  This was actually in MN.  They were in town for a Sportsman's Show.  My boat was only in Owatonna  ;)  It's slightly smaller than the Time Bandit.

Wisdom

98-year-old Mother Superior from Ireland was dying.
The nuns gathered around her bed trying to make her last journey comfortable. They tried giving her some warm milk to drink but she refused it.
One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen and, remembering a bottle of Irish Whiskey received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.
Back at Mother Superior's bed, she held the glass to her lips. Mother drank a little, then a little more, and before they knew it, she drank the whole glass to the last drop.
"Mother," the nuns asked earnestly, "please give us some wisdom before you die."
She raised herself in the bed and said, "Don't sell that cow!"

It doesn't work so well (taste so good) with scotch, apparently.  A friend of mine and I did this to his mother many years ago.  She asked for milk; we gave her milk plus a liberal dolop of scotch.  She spit it out. :o

And Tiger (x2).  Don't forget Tiger.

(And technically, it wasn't the run in that you get crap for, but relating of the run in.  On the plus side, you now are the convenient foil for those of us that want to talk about run-ins but are hesitant.  Think of yourself as a public service.)

Wait, Paris Hilton went to school ???
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

My story's believable.  Plus, I talk of my 16' fishing boat instead of a yacht and a Toyota Sequoia instead of a million dollar RV.  People can relate to me :)
