No, I just didn't think they were that good. No wrong-way rubbing, just calling it like I saw it. St. John's was the only good team Moorhead played -- I'd have liked to have seen them play someone other than Morris or MSU-Moorhead for a better comparison.

Pat-

Thanks for the answer.  No hard feelings here, just curious.

Yeah. It's more a reflection on what I think Linfield can do than what Concordia-Moorhead can't.

bennie,

98% of the Linfield fans are friendly and gracious, win or lose.   There are a  few that boast, predict huge blow-outs and are a little rude and over the top.    Please do not feel that all of us Linfield fans are that way.   We are not.

We could have lost to Concordia.   You were very tough!
I do hope we meet again someday.     I have nothing but respect for you.

GO CATS, GO!

GO CATS! GO!

SUMMIT!!!!!

andersfriden-
I notice you're a one-post wonder, and will probably regret even bothering to respond to your inana post, but I will, anyway.

Yes, you ARE looking for "an internet fight" when you come on and post garbage like that.

From all the accounts I've read, Gagliardi seemed to freely admit it was a blow out, even if that word wasnt specifically used.

It sounds like you're a MWC "fan" who wants to try to gloa and somehow bask in the sun of the UWW win over SJU, despite the fact that your conference shoudl be playing teams from the UMAC, not the MIAC, if you want the game to be competitive.

SUMMIT!!!!!

also, congrats to all four teams that played Sat..UWW & LC, one of you has to make the West proud by winning it all. Hats off to both of you on a great game yesterday

SJU--- you had an awesome season. The seniors can be proud of their 4 years, and the underclassmen can build off this season to even higher heights

Cobbers--- when Horan took over, CC was sliding down to mediocrity...you can be proud of being part of the return to glory. 21-3 over 2 years is something to be proud of!

I'm already looking forward to next year's SJU/CC showdown

FTI--

Concordia's two sacks yesterday were the first time Elliott has been sacked since the Stagg Bowl last season.  Nonetheless, moral victories suck.  Nice showing Cobbers.

Go Scots!

Collegeville Magic

Congrats to UWW on a great game yesterday.  Our Johnnies didn't have what it took, and the purple squad was definitely the better team this time around.

Should be a great West region final, and I'd be surprised if either Linfield or UWW didn't win it all.

To the Brever bus participants:  thanks for a fun ride, and thanks for making an unstomachable game seem like fun anyway.

Until later...

Go JOHNNIES!!!

I agree with M&G - you seemed to think St. John's was all the MIAC had to offer.  You follow the rest of the country and I don't so you obviously have your opinions and reasoning but I hope the Cobbs showed the rest of the country that the MIAC is a good CONFERENCE, not just 9 scrimmages for SJU to get ready for the playoffs.

I obviously think the MIAC is a great conference and that is why SJU's dominance the past dozen years or so is that much more impressive.

Too bad the only basketball I watch is March Madness - here's to a long winter.

OK, well, if you read that into it that was a mistake on your part. I never said any such thing, nor did I come close. It's more a reflection on what I think Linfield can do than what Concordia-Moorhead can't.

Pat, you were in Whitewater yesterday as well & saw the same thing as I did. I would assume that you agree with me in saying Linfield will be tested the rest of the way,but has a 75% chance of repeating as Stagg Bowl champions.St. John's laid an egg,but Linfield is more than a whisker ahead in the voting for first place for a reason.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

No need to get defensive.  I'm not accusing you of saying anything this past week - more so the opinions you've carried regarding the MIAC as a conference the two years or so I've been posting.

Bethel's strong showings in the playoffs probably don't help the MIAC's reputation any  ;)

I guess I should be glad I could only listen to about 5 min total of the UWW game.

Best of luck to UWW/Linfield on the rest of the road to the Stagg! At least I can hope for the Walnut and Bronze to stay in the West for a 3rd straight year!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Like I said before. Whitewater will be the biggest test all season for Linfield (after having survived Concordia who played a heck of a game and made me sick to my stomach) and the only tough teams other than MUC are in the West. This week is the mythical Stagg at the CatDome...bar none!

Don't lose any sleep over MUC. If Mount makes it to VA, and that's a pretty big IF, they shouldn't present much of an obstacle for the Cats.
