Any word on students that will attending MIAC schools to play football in the fall?  Do the schools share information anytime during the month of May on who has enrolled?

Seriously, can we stop with the hockey talk? Unreal.

Word on the street is Mrs. Favre was spotted at The Local today. That can't be good news for TJack...
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Since I'm out of the box ;D

I don't think there is any doubt that the Red Wings are the model for a sports franchise, and are worthy of respect. They have been the best team in hockey over the past decade or so. Nevertheless, I will not let someone get away with the best player being (Insert Name Here) without countering. It's so hard to definatively say one player is "THE BEST" when there are any number of great players who have different skill sets and different roles within their resprctive teams.  That's what I love about the game. Datsyuk, is in the discussion, as is Sid and Ovechkin, maybe even Iginla and others. It make for interesting discussion.

Finally!  WW is finally on board!  More footy talk!

Simon Taylor, Hawthorn's top ruckman (a tall player that follows the ball and contests the bounces), got off a rough play charge last night and will not miss any action.  I knew you were hanging on the edge of your seat over that one, WW, just like I was.  ;)

How 'bout them Twins?

Well... it was fun to watch Liriano finally pitch a gem yesterday, but now Blackburn is getting shelled like peanuts in a Planters factory.  I guess I can sympathize with the typical STO supporter now - all that potential but breaking the hearts of supporters every year.

EDIT:  Dickey is relieving now and pitching 84mph fastballs.  Meanwhile, Santana is 3-1 with a 1.10 ERA and 44 K's in five starts, the shortest of which was 5.2 innings where he gave up three hits and one run.  Sigh.

For the latest Johnnie recruiting news refer to Frank Rajkowski's blog.  He's had about three posts on the topic over the last few weeks.

Yes, and through my super secret sources, I provided at least a sentence on spring practice.  And here's another - the last spring practice was this past Sunday.  Hey, you wanna know the inside stuff, you only get it here.  ;)

So does St. John's get any recruits from outside of Minnesota or western Wisconsin for football?

???  Is this a joke?  The roster is here and it obviously has both outstaters and Wisconsinites.

Is this someone doing a snoopdawg joke by taking up a "Red Dawg" name?  OB, is this you or a relation living up in San Fransisco?

Not a joke given that Frank Rajkowski's blog only focuses on players from Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. If there are players from outside the area, then do some homework and report on them.  Very simple. If there are players from outside the above mentioned area, would fans not like to hear about them?

They got a kid from California a couple years ago. He turned out to be a hell of a good player, but his dad is kind of a pain in the ass.  ;D
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Maybe you should do your homework.

As Oz points out, one look at the roster shows whether Saint John's "gets" any recruits from Wisconsin or other states.  They obviously do.  But do they actively recruit outside of Minnesota?  While there may be exceptions, I think the answer to that is basically no, they do not.

Sounds like a good comment to post on Frank's blog, more than here.
