Oz, does that include Bailey's and/or the occassional Brandy in your coffee?

Oh, I see.  I got my eye on you now, stanbob.  Just like my wife - you're trying to deny my ranting privileges by tossing in a perfectly reasonable exception leaving me to choose between being reasonable or consistent.  Well I say bugger both of those positions.  A bit of brandy in the java used, until your question, be a good thing and now it's the WORST IDEA I HAVE EVER HEARD.  Ha!

(All that's left is for us to stare at each other for a minute and then I go into the living room with a beer to grumble and watch some footy.  I'll be back to apologize at half time.)

I take it you don't take ice and a slice of lime with your Victoria Bitter.  :P

Tommies had many TD's (six?) and River Falls kicked a field goal before having to leave today's scrimmage early.

You watching the playoffs already Oz, or still a little bit to go before they start?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

RF that bad or Tommies that good?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

It's the last week of the regular season.  Hawthorn plays Essendon this afternoon, the winner getting a birth in the playoffs (only to get pumped and a one-and-out result in the first week).  I was going to take the girls to the game, but it's absolutely bucketing down rain today so we'll be watching at home nice and warm.  Yes, yes, weak as p*ss, as they say Down Under.

Forgot to mention that the Tommies $40,000 QB Greg Morse did not participate in yesterday's scrimmage.  As for sjusection 105's question, the answer is "Yes."

Formerd3db, thanks for the information about Hope. Should be an interesting read. Have a great season.

The Stiftungsfest was rocking last night. We sold a ton of the world famous burgers and Hairball was very entertaining.

From Frank's blog:

Checking in with John Stanton

What Frank failed to ask, to get at the answer to his last question, was if John had a Bennie girfriend.

Perhaps TMerton and his lovely wife Noel  will be moving to Minnesota.   ;)

Duff.
I thought you said walleye fishing wasn't any fun.  ;D  -- or maybe you just said that you didn't like to fish for walleye.  :P

Sigh... The Hawks unfortunately played their chance at the playoffs like they did the season - poorly.  Too many chances slipped and too many mistakes in skills and decision making closed the door on an undeserved finals berth.  Sigh...

On the bright side, I now have unhindered football concentration on the grid iron.  I'm looking forward to my 3:55am wake-up in six day's time...

Mrs. tmerton would like to remind you that her name is Noel.  But she's happy you didn't call her Nicole.  She'll look forward to seeing you on Saturday. ;)

Just in time for the football season - Tommie coeds living in Illinois causing trouble...

"Woman uses lighter to check gas can level, blows up car"

The 27-year-old woman "was filling up a gas can, which was sitting on the passenger seat of the car. [She] then used a lighter to . . . observe how full the can was," police said.

The flame ignited the gas, and the can exploded, setting the car's interior aflame.  St Thomas officials confirmed that the remedial car operations J-term class instructed students to only use lighters on empty gas cans and to set cans on the driver's seat when filling rather than the passenger seat.

(I may have made up that last bit)

Another very interesting day at the Stiftungsfest yesterday. I got to meet Miss Minnesota of 2009, Brooke Kilgarriff. I asked her if she would be interested in attending a Johnnie game this fall and the Stiftungsfestivities. She was very excited about the opportunity. I will keep you posted.
