The Auggies are up against a conference contender, an almost certain top two finisher in the IACC, right?  No one else is playing that tough are they?

Bethel is playing #6 Wheaton and Concordia is playing #8 Willamette. 

Well, in that case I say Concordia.  I'll never vote for Bethel to win anything.   

That's ok, we don't want the vote of someone who originally thought Augsburg had the toughest non-con because they were playing a contender from a conference that doesn't exist...its IIAC.

What would it look like if we applied the "Tiers of the Crown" idea to the MIAC this year?

Here's my take (Teams within the tier are in no particular order).

Tier 1: Cream of the Crop - Inside track for the Title
SJU
Bethel
USTD (did I really just put them there?)

Tier 2: In the Mix - an upset or 2 away from T1
Concordia (maybe should be in T1, but who is going to score?)
St. Olaf

Tier 2: Everyone Else
Carleton (What a difference a year makes)
Hamline
GAC
Augsburg

...oh yeah, I almost forgot Tier 4:
Macalester

Let the debate ensue!

Don't buy into the yearly hype about how great the Tommies are going to be.  They don't belong in the top tier until they EARN it on the field.

Other than that I agree with what you got up there.  But mark my words, the Oles are coming!
