How 'bout that, Ritz - an invitation to Australia!

Yeah, Ritz, come on down.  I'll see if I can help hook you up while we wait for the Sunday morning kick-off.  Lots of girls down here looking for action...

No offense, Oz, but family pics need to be labeled.  These are your Northern MN relatives?

I just sent an email to the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders to see if they could make the trip up to Collegeville for the Johnnie-Tommie game on October 17. They were at the Chaska-Chanhassen game this past Friday night and I talked to one of the cheerleaders about making the trip up to Collegeville. She seemed very excited about the opportunity. Hopefully they could bring up their 2009-2010 swimsuit calendars for distribution. ;) Developing....

Godfather - As I mentioned at Patricks (after relaying the debacle that was Frank Rickard's last visit to SJU; you might remember the occasion, DustySJU), there's a former Winger on the squad this year. I might be able to put in a good word for this cause, if you encounter any resistance.

PS - I'll be checking out the GAC@UST game Saturday. As perhaps the only poster who will have seen both SJU and UST play before their epic clash, you can expect my wisdom to be posted prior to Favremania hitting fever pitch on MNF...

WW;  Your observation and predictable assessment  of "like" opponents will lead you to predict a Tommie victory in Collegeville.  However taking notice of Coach Gagliardi's comments at the Annual Kick-Off Luncheon we can also anticipate the Tommies "screwing up".... after all, it's predictable.

First things first.... can anybody really beat SJU four times in a row other than UWW?

TDT wants to know.

As far as you and Frank are concerned I guess I won't have to worry about you wondering into my tent again as I've alerted Carbo not to give away his drink tickets.

It's Homecoming Week.

Developing....

Whoa whoa whoa.

1. I don't drink.
2. I didn't say a word during that debacle, except to tell Frank to shut it.
3. I love the Johnnies!

Ok, so two out of three ain't so bad...right??
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Question: Who votes in the weekly D3football.com pole?

As it says on the poll page:

QuoteThe D3football.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly.

Though this is coming from a bethel backer, I would be willing to bet that they read the fine print about the poll and are actually wondering who the people are that are voting in the poll and the institutions they represent.

Correct.

I'm not at all insinuating that BU should be higher...I think their rank is fair considering their season.  They beat 2 poor opponents, and 1 decent opponent, which fairly places them just outside the top 25.

I was more curious on how those 25 coaches are selected, same with the SID's and media members.

It's broken down so that each of the four regions has six voters. (I'm voter No. 25.) That means that not every conference that has an automatic bid has a voter, but in general, we make sure the 24 most successful conferences are represented.

The MIAC is represented. In fact, Steve Johnson voted in the poll for some time but no longer does. I don't usually out the voters because having voted in polls myself, I know the voters can sometimes be subjected to unwanted lobbying, or at least, a lot of emailed press releases.

MIAC voter voted for Bethel.

The voter outed himself on his blog a while ago.  First name rhymes with "Frank" and his last name rhymes with "Rajkowski."

Veek, we will be hosting the Stiftungsfestivities this Saturday. Fans from Royaland are welcome to join us. We are located in the parking lot above the scoreboard end of the field. Bring a culinary delight to share. Donations made at the tailgate will go to support the family of the late Jim Goodman, class of `84, a Johnnie wrestler, Alumni Board member and chapter volunteer who left a wife and three daughters when he suddenly passed away last year.

Twins win first game 3 - 2 in 10 innings!  ;D

With the lack of finsleft activity around here, I'm guessing he took a long lunch at the K of C to watch the game with a fish sand and Hamm's.

I loved how the tiger pitcher in the 10th was throwing wild pitches so runners could advance!

I guess we'll find out this weekend.  Here's to hoping BU can make it happen.

Wish I could.  I'll be attending the Gopher/Badger game with my wife...then watching the SJU/BU action online (SJU has a video feed right?!?)

Nice comeback victory for the lads today in Motown. Did take Fins, Jr. out to Howie's for lunch and a chance to catch a couple of the middle innings. Then tried to get some work done whilst listening to the radio back here at the salt mine. Think I might just have to bow out of my gun safety class tonight due to "other commitments". Hate to disappoint the 113 kids in the class, but we do have 4 or 5 other instructors. Next class is Thursday and my "other commitment' starts at 12:05 on Thursday.
And dammit if they didn't change the time for Saturday and screw up my weekend plans. Was all set for the SJU thumping of the Bethel crotch-grabbers, then hop on 94 to get to the dome for 6:00 game, night out on the town in Mpls., then the noon HHH swan song on Sunday. Now Saturday's tix are on Craig's List, and I'll watch the last half on TV at the La, and drive to Mpls. in the cool of the morning on Sunday.
I guess it's not all that bad for a Plan B.
