Would it be ok for me to bring about 10 pounds of slow smoked (20 hours), bbq pulled pork?  I plan on starting it in my smoker on Friday.

If not, let me know and I will get you a key to my house.  Just leave it in the fridge.

Would it be out of line for me to ask one of the cheerleaders to pull my pork?

I recorded the Vikes game yesterday and watched it when got home last night.  Favre sure looked good.  But what was up with that O-line?  They played like they had signed a deal with Satan.  Against San Fran, they leaked like day old Depends and Favre was smacked around.  Yesterday, he could have put out a cabana chair, picked up a tan, read a chapter from his favorite novel and still get a pass away.

Faunch, that would be great if you brought the pulled pork. Thank you for the offer. Any idea as to how many Tommies will show up for the tailgate and what kind of culinary delights they will bring?

It is now official. We will have two Minnesota Viking cheerleaders at the Stiftungfestivities on Saturday, October 17 when the Tommies come to Collegeville. The cheerleader babes will be there from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Unfortunately, they will probably be dressed in purple.

How much will you be charging to have people take a picture with the cheerleaders?  BTW, do either of these girls have a restraining order against TDT?

That's easy, Oz.  You weren't playing the Niners this week (they were busy shutting out the St. Louis Lambs).  Unfortunately, the Niners didn't get to smack Mr. Fav-re around enough on that last play. >:(

None of us have ever actually seen TDT speak to a woman...  I had a roommate once at St. John's, and well,... oh well.

If Bench is there, that's all we really need. For the rest of the Tommie fans, they'll have problems finding the tailgate party because it's in the Science Center parking lot. The only exposure to any type of a science building is when they are going to the on campus clinic for "testing"  :D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Economy continues to get worse in Michigan.  Effective tonight another Detroit company is closing down.  The Tigers are done for the winter!

Way to go Twins!
BE ORANGE

Mr. Ypsi

Congratulations to the Twins!

I believe my Tigers gave away the season, but you had the late-season charge to be there to accept the gift.

I fear that the real beneficiary of this evening's gauntlet may be the hated Yankee$, but since we couldn't do it - you go get 'em!

[IMO, the most realistic chance to down the Yank$ was for the Tigers to clinch before Sunday so Verlander and Porcello could get maximum chances at them, but perhaps you can come up with an alternative plan to kill the $ Machine. ;)]

I can't talk Frank into coming up for the UST/SJU bash (and I'm not sure Dusty would let him set foot back on campus anyway...), but I will be there sporting a nice, new shirt from a Tommie friend that mocks the J's. I'd post the graphic here...but I'm not smart enough to do so.

I realize it's a week away, but what are people expecting in terms of a crowd? I can't get the D3 poll to load right now, but have these teams ever played each other when they're both in the Top 10?
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Wonka-
Good questions, and I'm pretty sure Dusty would welcome you even with the purple shirt....after all TDT wears "lavender" from time to time as he is not afraid to show his feminine side, but I digress.

As for the crowd, it depends on the weather, but I would expect 10K+ especially if both teams are undefeated at the time.

As for Top 10 status, UST(d) isn't in the Top 10 and they have to beat the Cobbers before you start talking about stuff like that.

No matter what their records are going into the game the Tommies seem to play tough.

Please have Frank reconsider as we would welcome him at our tailgate party sporting his "Tommies Suck" jersey....classic!

Wildcat11, we wouldn't charge anything for pictures with the cheerleaders. Hopefully they can bring up a few of their swimsuit 2009-2010 calendars for distribution. What if we were able to get a few of the bikini ice fishing team gals up for the tailgate? There were about twelve of them at the EelPout Festival in Walker last February performing on stage.
