Game day...................
Go JOHNNIES.  8)

Can I be in the poll above?  I hate the idea of the johnnies more than anyone.  They make me sick to my stomach.

Something else that makes me sick to my stomach... left field ump missing the one call he had to make all game.  Also the sight of A-Rod.... and the TBS announcer who made it sound like Burnett was a 10 time Cy Young winner when Blackburn was outpitching him.  This was in the fouth inning when blackburn had the no hitter going... they ended up leaving the game with almost identical stats except for the large amount of walks by burnett.

ROR - Surely, you have been paying attention, and know that the intent of the "Offender" is not the criteria that is used. It is the perception of the "Offended" that is the determining factor in these areas. ;)

Oh, and GO JOHNNIES!!!!

tmerton

Who's this "TC" guy who writes game analysis over at johnniefootball.com? ???  I knew a guy who went by that moniker but he at least used to attend some of the Johnnies' games.  If he's waiting for baseball season to be over, I guess we can expect him at the next game (unfortunately - Yankees, like Tommies, suck). :-X

Game on, boyz.  I'm here and getting ready for the pre-game at Bob's Packer bar.

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Let it be known, that Johnnie-Tommie week has officially begun.

Two undefeated, nationally ranked teams with MIAC title implication on the line, will settle it on Saturday in Collegeville.

Let the better team (Johnnies) win!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

cobbernation

Well the cobbers had another day full of turnovers at critical points in the game.  A total of 4 turnovers, 3 ints and 1 fumble.  However, UST had 3 ints too.  Easily said that the tommies took advantage of all turnovers and the cobbers didn't.  I remember 2 drives in the game where the cobbers moved the ball efficiently and at the 20 yd line going into score the offense tries 3 pass plays to the endzone.  Going away from what go them the first 60 yds down the field.  Missed oppurtunities and field goals!  Good game to UST and cobbers keep your heads up since the hard part of the schedule is behind you.  Have a good rest of the weekend everyone!

The twins go screwed last night and that umpire should be suspended for the remainder of the playoffs.

SUMMIT!!!!!

Quote"Wigger Day" or "Wangster Day," pejorative terms that blend the school's "Winger" nickname with other words, "were interpreted to be a mocking of low-class African-American citizens," Dickerson read from a letter to the school board.

What?  I'm about 99.99% certain that "wigger" and "wangster" have absolutely nothing to do with the "Winger" nickname.  :D
Dressing up in swaztikas or klan robes= likely racism.
Dressing like a gangster=likely stupid teenagers.
AO posting on MIAC boards= inane blathering
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

You missed the 8 sacks by UST ...the Cobbers D played well. The backup qb (Dunham?) looked promising. Was kinda surpising to see CC in the shotugn most of the 2nd half.

Line of the day goes to the Cobber radio voice when CC was called for holding: "That's the only way the Cobbers have been able to stop Waldvogel today"

Ooooooooooooooh!  This will be a good un.  Just returned from Robbinsdale Oktoberfest where the guy selling tokens had a UST sweatshirt on.  He got the booooo from me.

Almost makes me wish I could attend Saturday's game.....almost ;)

Whoever does the stats for St Thomas should be fired. Didn't know it was possible to fair catch a -25 yard punt. The kid didn't have anything less than 30 yards and they have him for 5 punts for 44 yards.  ???

One was blocked. That goes against the team. But there definitely wasn't a punt for 0 yards like it shows. Or a -25 yard one. Stats like this don't determine a game but good God.

CobberFvr: Clearly you've never used StatCrew. It's not exactly point and click. It's a DOS-based program that requires everything with keystrokes, and yes, every once in a while the home yard line instead of the visitors yard line (or vice versa) is put in.

That slip of the fingers notwithstanding, I was sitting next to the person who did the stats at St. Thomas and he actually did a fine job, and knew the statistical rules just as well as I did.

So you might want to spend three hours in their shoes before you lob grenades. An email to UST might be a better course of action.

Thanks for the clarification. There are just some obvious mistakes in the box score there. I'd hate to see it not changed and drag the overall stats down because of it.
