No d2's in Wisconsin?  In that case if my theory holds true than the WIAC should be at the tops of the d3, due to lack of competition in the recruiting.

Interesting thought. Looking at the rosters, there are 39 players from Wisconsin playing in the MIAC. The WIAC has 91 players from Minnesota. Of those 91 players, 78 of them play for Stout, Eau Claire and River Falls, just as I suspected.

Looking at Winona State, they have 45 players from Wisconsin on the active roster and the NSIC as a whole has 92. Duluth has 38 active roster players from Wisconsin and Mankato has 15.  St. Cloud State has 28 players form Wisconsin on the active roster. I believe NDSU has at least 15 players from Wisconsin on their roster.

Besides the WIAC, there are also 10 other D3 schools recruiting in Wisconsin.

NCAA D3 Mens Indoor Track & Field Championships... 1987, 1988, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009

NCAA D3 Mens Outdoor Track & Field Championships... 1988, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007

Johnnie_esq, How do you consider Mike G. and outsider. He played 4yrs for John, won a national title and was the O-cord. when Jimmy was attempting to play. He's built a huge rep. at EP so recruiting from the TC area I suspect would step up. Nothing against Gary, he's also a great coach. As far as personable, Mike is just as laid back as Gag's. Would be great to have them both. Then only reason Mike left was his kids were going to school in Forest Lake so the dive everyday got to him.

Duffman,

I think they get guys that have a D1 or D2 mentality that gets beat by the D3 mentality of love for the game and desire.

That has got to be one of most ignorant statements made about the WIAC that I have ever read.
I may not have much to say, but I'll say it anyway.

Sorry, I didn't post that quote correctly.  It wasn't Duffman that posted that but OOZY 54.

Raiderguy has to be happy this afternoon. Congrats to Mount for making it to the national semifinals once again. Sounds like Capital gave the Raiders a run for it.

Mr.Shoes

Looks like there's quite the football game going on in Oregon. I look forward to seeing how it turns out.
Nice day, huh?

WTF, did pat shut down the NWC board or did the server blow like the cats...

Mr.Shoes

I was pulling for Linfield, #57. I just really don't like the WIAC.

Congrats to the Warhawks, though. WOW, I never thought they could go to Oregon and pull it off. I followed along a bit in the NWC board and it sounded like an AMAZING football game.
Nice day, huh?

The king is dead. Long live the king.

Congrats to Whitewater on their impressive victory.

OxyBob

Bob,  I know we look like one big wasteland from Sunny Sourthern Cal.

This is the M(innesota)IAC board.

Whitewater is in Wisconsin.   :)

Bennie looks like enough people (from and outside of Linfield) have had enough from those dudes that stand right behind the visitor's bench.

Thank you for posting this. I have been off the boards for a couple of days, so I just saw this. I know that the vast majority of the Cats fans are great, like you, your father, and the guy who complimented me on my parallel parking last week before the game! ;) You guys had a great season and hopefully the Johnnies and Cats will meet next season! ;D

You guys warned us about costly turnovers but we didn't listen. An INT for a TD and a fumble return to the 4 yard line, plus 2 more. Yikes.

Too bad we couldn't have ran out the clock late in the 4th. All we needed was another first down or two.

Hope to see you guys next season.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Johnnie Red,

Thanks for the shout out. I am still trying to stop the bleeding. My fingers have been chewed to the bone. It is never fun facing a team twice in a season. Especially one as good as Capital. They threw on us at will. The QB had thrown only on TD against us in his career coming into todays game and he had 4!
Their defense has improved since our first meeting and they got their top receiver back from and injury. He did not play in the first game in OCT.

We did have a few tricks up our sleeve thank goodness. We discovered a new runnninng back that has accounted for about 700 yards of rushing in the last four games and he is only a freshman. 361 last week and 185 this week.

Now it is an old nemesis called Rowan. They were the team that broke a previous 54 game winning streak in '99 in overtime in Alliance. You know something about breaking winning steaks don't you? (2003)

Bring them on because you have to beat the best to be the best. It still might be an all Purple final but one of those teams certainly is a surprise.

I hope that there is enough distaste for the WIAC and WW that "The Raiders"  just might pick up a few fans from the MIAC.

We certainly can use the helpl      Really!

GO RAIDERS!

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
