Wahpeton H.S.  42
Breckenridge H.S.  13 :)
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

You make it sound like it will be a big deal if you win that one... MSUM, what are they? 5 - 45 this century? And that's my old school.  They should drop down to D3 like UM-Morris.  I think they would do a lot better in the future.

I predict another Braham conquest in boy's basketball this year, and 2 Dahlmans playing for the Michigan State Spartans in 2007-08.

Actually I think this new coach over there Eisele (sp???)   is actually going to turn things around.  Ofcourse as you know it will take a while to unwind the mess that he was left with.

As we start another mind numbing offseason I would appreciate it if we kept the board alive with any recruiting tidbits that we hear.  It is always interesting to keep up on that sort of thing, and it is something to do other than work. ;)

Looking ahead to next year's schedule

It looks like the Cobbs will find out right away if they are capable of post season play as they open up with Moorhead St., Bethel, and SJU

I wish it was September already

FYI: Univ. of San Diego fired their head coach today.   Hmmmmmmm...maybe John will take that gig now.  Hard to pass up the warm weather and beautiful ladies...

Note: My sources have informed me that Linfield QB Brett Elliott recently sent the West Region Reporter an autographed picture.  OAS quickly framed the 8 by 10 and hung it above his bed so that he could dream about #5 each evening.

The pic was signed "OneArmedScot, Go deep and I will throw you the long one"

Two Q's:

1) Will there be a gathering at a watering hole for the Stagg Bowl?

2) Anybody else going to the Las Vegas bowl?    Not the best bowl game in the world, but I'll be out there visiting relatives, so why not buy a $10 general admission ticket and tailgate?  That is if I still have $10 after going to the casinos.    I may have to import the Hamms though.
I'd post a lot more if I had a real job

M&G-sounds like the cobbs will face early tests against MSU, BU, and SJU early into the season next fall.  These could be games where teams can make mistakes, but still come out victorious.  We will just have to see next fall.

Just saw the Daunte Cullpepper FedEx commercial.

Anyone wanna guess how many takes it took him to get his lines right?

Who will replace 2-time MIAC MVP Schumacher at QB next year?

SDSU, University of San Diego... big difference.

Surprised it only took you 3 hours and 59 min of research to catch that one.

I am hoping that Schumacher's heir apparent will be sophomore Jesse Nelson, Dave Nelson's son out of Minnetonka. I think that he has a pretty good grasp of the offense already, and with those genes, you know he is a winner.  Also, this would allow the Cobbs to keep Eric Rodel, a converted QB, at Wide Receiver where he should develop into an all-conference player.
