I don't live on the board the way you do.

Pat: 11,000 posts and responding to my post at 1AM cental time, 2 AM if you're back on the east coast

Me: 2050 posts

Yup, I'm the one who lives on here.

I was taking a jab at your overly sarcastic response to BD's post. Seems a bit hypocritical to attack someone for a minor flaw in a post when you got all bent out of shape when the Monmouth fans pointed out you had the town MC is located in wrong on your preview.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

I know we're a long way from September but I have the inside scoop...

Concordia        30
Moorhead St    17

You make it sound like it will be a big deal if you win that one... MSUM, what are they? 5 - 45 this century? And that's my old school.  They should drop down to D3 like UM-Morris.  I think they would do a lot better in the future.

It's not a big deal beating the Goons anymore - but I do hear good things about their new coach.  It just happens to be the first game of the season (as it has the last 80-some years).  I could start making week 8 predictions if you'd like  ;)

M&G - That cross-town rival has been rough on the 'Boys as of late.  Not sure if it will get any better either - enrollment seems to be declining on the good side of the river.

Godfather,

Is the Pope Catholic?  Do bears **** in the woods? Does OAS pick Bethel to beat SJU annually?  If there is a team from Wisconsin playing in a bowl game they ARE tailgating.  In fact, since it is in Orlando dare I say there might be some "distractions" for the tailgaters in the parking lot (scantily clad girls).

Finally, MIAC maniac and I have had discussions about this in the past, and I don't see D-2 as a good fit for the Tommies, and I don't think the Toms will want to compete with 5 other D-1 hockey programs in Minnesota for players.  However, the UMN men's and women's basketball programs have an abundance of Minnesota talent, and basketball requires only 12 scholarships per team instead of 18 for hockey and 60-some for football.  Considering that UST has upgraded and sunk money into their football fields, their hockey rink, and their baseball/softball complex in the past few years, there is only one revenue sport that they haven't yet touched.  Since their basketball coach is the AD, doesn't that seem a little odd?

To paraphrase Jesse "The Mouth" Ventura-- Schoenecker is only 25 years old, why change it?  :)

Actually, there have been some modest upgrades there (new floor, new scoreboards, remodeled HOME locker room (D-I plush, as opposed to the visitor's locker room which is still in old O'Shag)

Johnnies could be a the sleeper in hoops...I think they might get a home game in the playoffs  I wonder if a return to competitiveness will bring the SJU fans back...the past 3 UST @ SJU games have been played in front of a sparse crowd that MAYBE filled Sexton half full.. and there were more Tommies than Johnnie/Bennies

Maybe JR can organize a tailgate before this year's game?  That seems to draw fans for fall sports   :)

Is it true that TDT will be one of those scantilly clad? I assume his lon absence from the boad an only be attrributed to "major surgery"  ;)

From the looks of the last several posts from Bus Driver and his incessant mentioning of me, it appears he may have a picture of me hanging on the wall above his bed that reads, "Bus Driver, I won't expose you!  --oAs"

What's up with the oAs?

BTW, I think that Bus left the station a while ago. ;)

Scantily clad girls? To the best of my knowledge, Paris Hilton will not be in attendance at the Capital1 Bowl. :'(

ROR, I suppose we could expand the Stiftungsfestivities to Johnnie basketball. Let me know if you are serious about this.

Had the opportunity to meet Rich Gannon this morning at the courthouse (no, he is not in trouble with the law). Very nice guy. He said he has had the opportunity to meet coach Gagliardi and was very impressed. I asked Rich if he had applied for the head coaching position at Macalester. His response: "Macalester is not a good place for those with NFL ties. Just ask Irv Cross." I left it at that. ;)

JR,

Maniac is the one who brought up the idea of expanding the Stiftungsfestivities to Johnnie basketball.  He is just looking for free food and a chance to gloat about a Tommie victory.  He knows it is hopeless in football.

Great line from Rich Gannon.
