bench - Any more agist jokes and I'll search for you, I'll find you and I'll kick your duffy Tommie A$$!!

Wouldn't want you to break a hip...maybe send TDT.

Why I oughta................ :-[

Maybe instead of a message board this should be called a message bored. (Rim shots) Not a lot action today. Go Oles

Yep, go Oles and further diminish your loss in the eyes of the NCAA.

Keith says SJU will be upset this week-maybe?-either go with your gut or don't. I would be worried if Pat were making this statement, though. :)

You mean like when Pat picked the Johnnies to be upset by Bethel?  Or when Keith picked the Johnnies to be upset by Concordia?  Or when Keith picked the Johnnies to be upset by UW-Eau Claire?

(Not that I necessarily disagree with those picks, I just find it funny that one or the other has chosen them as a likely team to get upset in more than half their games this season.)

Well, better to be constantly picked as an upset VICTIM rather than seen as a perennial upset VICTOR.  I mean, imagine how the Tommies feel every season.

Going with my unbiased and impartial gut feeling, I am throwing it out there:  Olaf 16- SJU 9
If you don't want to, you don't have to...

SUMMIT!!!!!

I'll throw this prediction out, based on having seen both teams play a common opponent. SJU 48, StO 13.

Concordia should get past the pesky Pipers, but it wont be easy....27-24

UST rebounds nicely, 35-14.. Wartman for 150+ yards.

GAC/Auggie?? best game of the day, in terms of competitiveness... OT anyone? WW, are you making this trip?

Bethel clobbers Bye U

unrelated news that I'm sure will bring smiles to some,....a 2nd hand Passenante sighting.  A former coworker of mine is slated to interview at Cargill, and one of his interviewers is none other than Pace. No word if Sofa King has annointed it the greatest interview team of all time.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Miacmaniac, you keep dreamin' buddy.  This game is going to be close.  And the Oles are going to come out on top.  Clay Garret is going to usher in a new era of high powered offense under Jerry Olzewski and this time, it will be matched with a stifling Ole D.
If you don't want to, you don't have to...

Friggin' Biden delayed my flight arriving into MSP last thursday and now Obama in NY has delayed my flight arriving and I've already missed my connection in Brisbane.  Modern day royalty making me miss time with my family - not happy.

And the really bad part of this delay?  I'll land in Brisbane after the J's have finished knocking the O out of Olaf.

One more gripe?  Friggin' AA makes you pay for drinks in the lounge.  Can you belive that crap?  Two drink slips from Qantas and them I'm shelling out cash for brews.  Taking the custer out of "customer service".

OzJohnnie

Yeah!  I just found out that there are unlimited drinks for qantas customers.  So one less gripe, I guess.  But I'm still missing the Johnnie game in Brisban, so bah humbug all the same.

I reckon 34-7, Johnnies over the Oles.  If the J's are going to make a big push this year, they need a couple blow-outs now to build that killer character.  They have already demonstrated they have very big hearts and have earned themselves a great reckoning in the Johnnie legend.  Now it's time for them to bust free and and demonstrate they are a team of particular worth.  I think they have it in them.

Clearly those picks were out of the realm of possibility, considering what blowouts those games were. :)

OK, well, two of them anyway.

And we all know that's a BIG gut feeling,   ;)

Interesting that tmerts has been silent since he went on the offensive after SJU's complete and utter destruction of the Caruso Construction Crew last weekend ::)

MM - I won't be making it up to Auggie Tech this weekend. I can only handle a certain number of ugly GAC performances in a given year...and the basketball season hasn't even started yet.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Oz,
If it is any consolation, I will salute you when I pour my first Bloody Mary this morning about 9:30am in Collegeville!  ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Typical gustie, frustrated by his team's sloppy performance so he lashes out with personal attacks  :'(
