Bethel 33 GAC 21 is the final.

Not a bad day for Bethel considering they still didn't have Aakre under center.  They brought in Velo from WR to play QB for most of the game.  Hopefully there is enough time for Aakre to get healthy again for UST.  We'll definitely need all our bullets against the Tommies.

Would not be surprised at a monkey stomp for UWW...based on rankings and the revenge factor...

The carnage in the OAC (Otterbein) and CCIW (North Central) should help St. Thomas' "C" chances greatly.

North Central has an in-region loss to Ohio Northern in addition to the loss to IWU today.

Wheaton has a conference loss to NCC and plays at IWU next week.

IWU's loss is to Millikin.

It looks like the CCIW is on the bubble for a Pool C bid.

Well, once again the Ole defense looked solid but the offense could do little.  With the exception of a few fantastic passes by Garret (preview of future success I hope) Olaf couldn't establish a rhythm on the O-side.

A costly block in the back on a Clark kick return for a TD hurt the Oles big time.  As least the defense performed well again, keeping us in the game until the very end.

Now on to GAC

The NWC board notes a new SOS, here are some results:

Team Regional
record Regional
win % Opponents
win % O-O win %
20 Huntingdon  6-0  1.000  0.635  0.585
73 St. John's  8-0  1.000  0.547  0.619
92 Central  9-0  1.000  0.519  0.539
93 Linfield  7-0  1.000  0.518  0.516
109 Wesley  5-0  1.000  0.500  0.659
111 Alfred  7-0  1.000  0.500  0.602
117 Monmouth  9-0  1.000  0.492  0.485
142 Mount Union  7-0  1.000  0.469  0.562
146 UW-Whitewater  6-0  1.000  0.466  0.614

Interesting changes if this took into account the games yesterday, Oxy loss really hurt Linfield, along with UWSP loss for Central. On the otherside, both UWRF and UWEC won yesterday, helping SJU.

I actually think playing UPS hurt Linfield more than Oxy's loss (gaining a winless opponent vs. having an opponent lose one more game).  We also have PLU in two weeks and they could come in at 2-6 which would further hurt the SOS...  Luckily--we've done well on the road this year :)
