Wow! Seems like both the Johnnies and the Dutch want to take their shot at Linfield! Seems like there's some grudges there considering the Cats haven't even MADE the playoffs since 2005! UWW had a classic game against them when they were #1 ranked back in 2005. It would be fun to play them again!

I do understand not wanting the game out there, that's for sure! Maybe the whole CATDDOME thing has rubbed some the wrong way?

Sigh... Time to rant about the ranking committee again?

THREE CHEERS FOR INCONSISTENCY!

Now they finally have the rankings right, but what were tha last two weeks about?  TC spends the time ti figure out how they aren't ranking like this already, convincing me to retract my complaint, and then they abandone that method to subjectively rank again.  They have basically eliminated the need for the first two weeks ranks since they are meaningless. They provide no predictive or lasting picture of how the teams are rated.  My guess: this debacle gets a good review post the final pairings.

And lest any smarty pants out there think I'm arguing they are better consistent, rather than right - I'm not.  My position is they should be consistently right.  After the first week we thought they were all high.  Then they follow the same method the second week, indicating a commitment to a more formulaic ranking (despite a general consensus that the results were cracked).  And now they revert to previous season's method of ranking, which is met with general agreement.  Shame it had to come at the cost of the ranking system's integrity.
