Oh, and Sartell's got St. Thomas Academy in the state semi-finals this week.  Hopefully, both Tommie teams lose :)

Wondering... do you practice at being an AH or is it a God Given Talent?

My vote is you practice!!!

So, cheering for my high school alma mater and cheering against UST makes me an asshole?  Big words for some little piece of **** that just pulled his chair up to the adults' table.

In a word, YES!

Well Duff, it could be a lot worse - you could be a tommie.   ::)

As much as I'd love to see Monmouth put the hurt on UST, simply basing my opinion on what I saw at SJU a few years ago, I think the Tommies might actually pick up a playoff win this week  :-[

The real question is will the Roush be there???  :D

This is not the same Monmouth team that went to SJU for their first ever playoff game. They have continued to improve. I am not saying that UST could not win. But let's base pics off a game 4 seasons ago. For UST fans by the way, Monmouth does not have the greatest areas for tailgating. Many improvements have been made to the stadium, but that is not one of them. I hope to see a lot of your fans at the game. Last years 2nd round game with Wartburg was tremendous. This "West Region" is just totally loaded. I am so surprised that UMHB got put into our bracket. Going to be interesting to say the least

Sorry to disappoint you, but I would HIGHLY doubt there would be many Tommie fans at the game. Heck, they can barely get 1,000 fans at Homecoming, and that's a home game, at an institution of 6,100 undergraduate students. Let's just say that school spirit is not one of the things that UST excels in.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Hopefully with a few playoff appearances, stadium upgrades, and some tradition building we can reverse the attendance woes. As of right now I'm just psyched that we're there. Finally. Wish I could go to Monmouth...just going to cross my fingers for a second round rematch against SJU as it is the second closest D3 school to Grand Forks.

Admit it Bench, you really want another game at SJU because you had so much fun at the tailgate party you attended earlier this season!  ;)

That's too bad, I was impressed with the showing of visiting fans from Aurora and Wartburg last year for playoff games at Monmouth.  I thought it really added to the atmosphere.

I'm in agreement Monmouth has made steady improvement since their debut in Collegeville several years ago.  At the very least, the slight edge goes to Monmouth with the home field advantage.

It'll be a competitive game with Monmouth getting the victory.

It could also be competitive in Collegeville however I'll gage Coe as somewhat better than Ole but not as good as either Bethel or UST.

A UST rematch could be quite epic however I'd guess if The Johnnies squeeze by Coe we'll see the Monmouth team for some Thanksgiving Day leftovers.

Could there also be a repeat of '03 history with The Wildcats playing in coolish weather in week 3?

The new "nickel" in Johnnie land includes a 6'5" linebacker with incredible wingspan.... I like it!

And TDT will hardly notice as instead of rolling into Clemens Stadium at the earlier start time he'll be making a quick stop at the CrossRoads Shopping Center to begin his holiday shopping.

TDT has seen too much UST and not enough SJU.

My first impression when looking at the brackets was this.  I'm sure Monmouth is better than the 62-3 we saw a few years ago (They have to be, right?  That's Macalester territory.)  but St. Thomas should be considerably better than anyone they've faced this year.  Still, it's a good draw for the Tommies in that they aren't facing someone like, oh, I dunno...  Mary Hardin-Baylor.

It's going to be a lot of travel for them, but I think UMHB is the team to beat in the St. John's bracket.  And they'll have earned it if they get wins in Pella, McMinnville and (hopefully the blustery, snowy Winter Wonderland) Collegeville.

As a note to all St. Thomas fans, I'd highly recommend loading up the family Roush and making the trip out to Monmouth if you can.  After, you never know when (or if) the Tommies will be in the playoffs again.

I don't want to know what Max has seen too much of --- it couldn't be posted on a family website like this, that's for sure.

CC to Max - 2 for 2 if it comes to that.  But don't let me keep you from wearing your purple - or your, uh, stadium coat.

UMHB?  Great team, but - uh ... TC - you're great at analyzing, and bending over for( ::)), teams you've never seen.  Can't wait for the pre-game analysis.

Duff-going to be in Collegeville for the Coe game?
Am looking for the real Jay Cutler-is he here, because he is not in Chicago.

Actually I am in the Buckeye state taking in a little Raider action. Sure am glad the Vikings let you have my brother. ??? It was all the plan by the Vikes to let him go there and secure Brett. ;D
With the W & J match-up I may have to extend my stay here for another week. Should be a good one for awhile. These two knocked some heads in a pre-season "scrimage" in August. More hitting than some real games I've seen. They will be really ready to hit for real for a change. The LK and MS match-up adds a little extra to this game too. ;)
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!
