PRF2009A

Closed Circuit to NHawk:

Way to tell them... You sure told that Johnnie RAIDER fan how it is.

Teams I don't cheer for in the MIAC:

St. Johns  (because they beat the team I like every year for the past 70ish years)
UST (because of NHawk)

To sum up:  I wouldn't cheer for either team.  However, the reasons for that choice are very different.  One is because of competitive spirit.  The other is because of stupidity.

Post of the day.  But you better add St Olaf to that list.

Thanks for the Closed Circuit PRF, I am a newbie on the boards & do not know most of the contributors. All I know is UST is getting bashed for no apparrent reason by one particular segment on these boards, it pisses me off & brings out the defensive passion in me...

I'll keep quite for a while & learn, education is life...

Thanks to the Johnnies for a very good season that ended too soon.

I am hoping someone a more familiar with the rules can answer a question for me.  On one Johnnie punt both Coe returners were in position to field the punt.  One signaled for a fair catch, but the other player fielded the punt and attempted to advance.  I thought there should have been a flag.  Was I right? :-\

Funny, these days education makes me feel like this:
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain - remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive? "

+K to whomever can identify who said this! 8)

It would be nice if there was a place on people's profiles that they could list their school/team. Then I would know who to smite! ;) ;D***

***-means that I am joking! Just thought I would clarify that for some of our more...serious/literal...posters.

Total stab in the dark (haven't seen the movie in years), but that sure sounds like something Woody Allen would have said in Annie Hall.

I think this is all rather funny. I know multiple posters have been...let's say upset...with me in the past when I refused to cheer for the Johnnies in the past when they were the last MIAC team still playing. Funny how things change when your team is done early too, eh? I don't blame any of you all in the slightest, but a little consistency would be nice.

So true.  Amazing how philosophical this bunch gets as they try to validate their reasons for not being able to say well done and giving a little support to the teams in which generally have shown them that same respect.

Gig Harbor Cat

Hey TDT,
Sorry I missed your call to the Catdome on Friday night, couldn't break free from my insider meeting with Wildcat 11 at the Deluxe-- something about double D's and a cold beer.  You can ask 11.
Sorry to see the SJU boys pick up a loss in the first round.  We all wanted another shot at a rematch, especially with the club we have this year.
TDT--  hop in your G5 and come out for some longies--Its worth the trip. I promise ya.

Later

Peace out
GHC

Side note-- If any of you know Sam Will  tell him I said hi, and I hope he is still keeping warm in the Cat gear I sent him after your boys got it done at the Catdome last time.

Now that I think of it, that is an obviously more likely response.  But I still like mine better, even if it was wrong!  And I'd bet the writer was 'channeling' Woody when he wrote it! ;D

Further illustrated by my karma rating taking an 8 point hit within 5 minutes of making such an outlandish comment  :o

Freebird, news flash for you.  It doesn't matter what you say in a post.  You're going to take a karma hit just for breathing.

I think if you look all the way back thru the posts you will NOT find a comment by me that gloats, brags, stuts and/or overstep my bounds as a Tommie fan. If you can, show me, If your right I'll kiss your fat ass on the steps of the State Capitol & give you two days beforehand to draw a crowd.

Hmm, I seem to remember being called an asshole by you for hoping UST and STA would lose.  Pucker up, douche nozzle.   :-*  Or did you mean something else by AH?   ::)  And how about that supposed "hacker" that broke in to your account and posted "his/her" anti-Johnnie sentiments?

Oh, and Sartell's got St. Thomas Academy in the state semi-finals this week.  Hopefully, both Tommie teams lose :)

Wondering... do you practice at being an AH or is it a God Given Talent?

My vote is you practice!!!
