Wesley did not get a free pass or a first round game to play WW.
To get this far it wasn't with smoke and mirrors. They played  lousy yesterday. Just as St Johns did two week before that. You remember who they are.
They beat three quality teams Ferrum??, MHB and Bridgewater. How are you so sure is my point. I doubt you have seen Wesley play nor have I but I think you are trying to rationalize that there can not be two teams out there that could possibly beat Linfield. I guess that is what you would have to admit IF (that is a big if) Wesley had beat WW.

God help us if the Raiders manage (they don't stand a chance you know) squeek by WW.

The original issue I had was that somehow WW's win proves something about the west region and it does not.

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Foss

Not going to work, raiderguy. I never said anything about this having anything to do with Linfield or St. Johns. It had everything to do with you saying UWW just happened to beat Wesley on Saturday. Don't try and spin it. Please raiderguy, explain to us how Wesley should or could have defeated a team they lost to by 52 points? I'm all ears.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Hey SJU92,

I layed on the horn as I passed the Wells exit on the way to the game on Sat. Morning.  I almost stopped at the SPAM museum in AUstin on the way home but it was snowing pretty good from Austin to Worthington so I kept going.  Have you ever been to the SPAM museum?? ;D

Curry's not bad, and I generally like him, but if there's a star center he'll never let it go. (He was right on about Esslinger, though.)

He'll be better than Spielman.

If the weather's sunny and in the 50s, it'll be better than any of the two Salem Staggs I've seen. The weather was the only edge Phenix City had -- well, that and the $1.25 per dozen raw oysters ...

RetAgent,
Hey, I'll never call you mentally challenged, I know not only your alma mater but your beer choices. :) Sure generalizations are part of life, but some are good and some are bad and I think especially with people -- rather than routes to work or what a team does on 3rd down inside its 20 -- folks have to be a bit more careful. For instance, one could say that all conservatives are as foaming-at-the-mouth mean spirited as Ann Coulter. I'd prefer to agree to disagree.

Not wanting this to drag this out, but you are correct sir, but again I want to remind you that over time, some things just seem to become evident. Also, as a former law enforcement officer who did more than his share of interviews, and also having the experience of others imparted to me in my training, people generally have certain behaviors when being truthful as opposed to being deceptive. Time and experience has shown that these behaviors, while not being 100% indicative, can almost always be relied upon to point to a person's truthfulness. When you hear about "gut feelings", it is not just an emotional feeling, but usually an analytical assessment of what a person says, how they say it, what they don't say, and what their physical reactions are.

I would enjoy sharing one of those fine adult beverages with you in the future repete.

RetAgent -- You're on. I'll tote the Yuenglings and bring the stories about your ``favorite'' agency on 935 Pennsylvania Ave. I'm sure the Hamm's patrol will grant a special exemption.

Pat,

Who is the ESPN crew scheduled for the game on Saturday?

Bus-
You, me and a 30 pack of Hamm's could provide a pretty entertaining view of the action. Just gotta get by the Polish names in the UWW lineup.

Like Lou Holtz said, "Broadcasting's easy. Just keep talking until you think of something to say."

Touchdown Tommy

fins,

The broadcast would obviously take place live from the Pace Arrow up on the hill.  Hamms in one hand, microphone in the other, and OAS (as production assistant bich) on becking call for when we want some food at halftime.

kubiack78,

This past September Mrs. Coco and I spent a over a week in southern Minnesota, and we visited the Spam Museum. I thought it was great, although they didn't have free samples, which I was hoping for. They actually take it seriously there.

Mrs. Coco liked the gift shop, and now I wear Spam boxers.

If you are near there, I'd recommend stopping. It was easy to get to, and didn't take long.

Coco,

You vacation in Southern MN? :o

Now I have heard of people vacationing in the South of France or South Fla or Southern Cali, but Southern MN?

This past fall we took a road trip from Oregon to the Midwest, as we'd never driven out there. We wanted to see a D3 game, too, and ended up seeing Wartburg and Augsburg play at Waverly. Minnesota is beautiful, or at least it was then. I don't think I could handle the weather there now.

We did have a great time, though!

suggest next vacation in Las Vegas, then Reno, where you can play the Spam interactive video slots and build up room comps.

For you Minn bros who have not yet been to the hotbed of LINFIELD recruiting, Hawaii, spam is a gosh dang staple there.

raiderguy, thanks for jumping all over my comment about how dominant the West region is this year in the playoffs.  You got really far with it too when Foss told you some interesting information about past playoffs.  And now you are trying to spin things, haha, not going to work as Foss says.  Yeah Wesley played 3 tremendous teams???  Bridgewater??  They blew them out of the water, BW is not a good team.  MHB was there toughest test by far.

Here's some advice, if you are going to come to the MIAC board and try and talk game, know the facts.  If you don't you will get rocked as you are now.  Foss knows his stuff and so does Johnnie esq.  They are D-III gurus and they have forgotten about more D-III history than you will ever know.  Well good luck next week in Salem, I hope that WW crushes you.  Because they deserve the win because they have faced tougher competition and are a balanced team on offense and defense.  That's all I got.
