As great as the game was on TV, it was even better on the sideline (although it was very cold with the wind and snow).  I had the luxury of being the field replay assistant, so I knew when calls were being reviewed or should have been.  A couple times the buzzer went off and the officials on the field could not feel them as it was so cold.  I was the one that celebrated when the officials reviewed the last TD catch for the Griz....probably should have waited until the referee made the call  8) 8)

I hope AO got a chance to see what great coaching and great talent are able to do against one of the best teams and players at any level.  Armanti Edwards will be playing in the NFL next year.  The hit from Keith Thompson in the first half was the ESPN Play of the Day.  The atmosphere and the crowd were incredible.

BTW- Chase Reynolds the RB for Montana is not too bad for an 8-man player.

For all you golf guys........look for this snoop dawg to be in a Tiger Woods commercial that will be shot in May.  He was looking for a swing that resembles his, unfortunately, I am just going to carry a golf bag.  I am really excited.
Has the commercial been shown yet?  I'm sure it will be a collector's item.

I was just wondering if you and Tiger hung around the 19th hole together after it was shot. ??? :-X

The most impressive thing about Bobby Houck yesterday from my perspective was that he didn't wear a hat. 8)

I thought Tiger was only on the 13th or 14th hole. :o

No, I did not watch your squad beat Appy State.   Maybe it's time to bump up to 1-A?  Move to Boise State's league?

If you want to see a great football game turn your TVs to ESPN to the MT/App st. game.

Great win for the Griz. now they need to take care of business with Vandy next week.

I still think Bobby Houck should be coaching the Gophers instead of Brewster. Perhaps Maturi was watching on Saturday as well. :D

Hopefully after beating Vanderbilt they have enough left to beat Villanova Friday night.

Since I believe the Griz could compete and even beat the gophers the Big Ten should invite them into the conference.  Problem solved to have 2 divisions and a big ten championship game.

Several mainstream media have suggested that Boise St join the Big 11, allowing the league to split into 2 divisions and add a ($$$ making) title game as well as allowing BSU to show it can compete on the big stage. While this might be true in one sport, football, it would make no sense in any other sports and would be a huge financial hit to BSU. It would be equally disasterous for Montana.

I think the best thing would be for the Rodents to admit they cannot compete with the big boys and leave the Big 10, forming a conference of MN, NDSU, UND, USD, SDSU, MT, MSU and Boise.

Geographically it doesn't make sense.  The Big Ten has talked about adding a Midwest Team (ND among others) but I don't think they have a desire to expand further West.

Honest mistake 105...I heard Barry Alvarez, Wisconsin AD say they were going to do some extra recruiting this year to get the Big 11 to 12 members...who is left to add?  Notre Dame won't make the move although that would be a natural match, unless Pitt wants to leave the Big East or Syracuse I just don't see it happening.

Not that this would happen, but could the Big Ten add an FCS team if they wanted to get the conference to 12 teams (think Montana or UND playing a Big Ten schedule)?  What if that team wins the Big Ten, then do they play the FCS playoffs and the Rose Bowl (again, very hypothetically)?  The other options I see are poaching a team from the MAC or the Big East, either of which would not go over well, either taking the MAC down to 11 teams or ending the Big East as a football conference.

MAC currently has 13 Teams:

East (7):  Ohio, Temple, Bowling Green, Kent State, Buffalo, Akron, Miami (OH)
West (6):  CMU, NIU, WMU, EMU, Toledo, Ball State

Don't see any of them at the Big 10 Level.

Maybe Cincinnati would want to make the jump to the Big 10 (11)(12). Or how about Mt Union? ;D

Give CMU, Ohio, or NIU 3 years to recruit as a Big Ten team and they would all stomp the Gophers.  Actually, they all probably would now (so would Temple, and Ball State last year, actually, two of these teams should move to the Big Ten and the Gophers could take their place in the MAC cellar).
