Good observations in my book tmerton.
Suppose Mrs. K was a song girl?

Last time USC was under sanctions players went every where else. It'll be tough. Maybe Notre Dame can beat 'em again.

Is Joe Buck trying out for MNF?  When the Vikes were called for running into the kicker in the endzone, he noted that the Cowboys declined the penalty.  After the TV time out, apparently the Cowboys changed their minds and decided to accept the penalty (duh).  Yet Buck stated that the Vikings had now decided to accept the penalty and make the Cowboys kick over.  WTF?  And he never realized it ... he went on to say - after the Cowboys picked up almost 15 yards from the re-kick - that the Vikings decision didn't work out very well for them.

Tmerton;

Ha!  That was the last thing I saw before I headed out the door for work.  I was thinking about that all the way to the station.

Great 4th TD pass for Brett! What an amazing QB!  The play call was a picture perfect snapshot of the class of the entire Vikings organization. Their class level matches perfectly their number of NFL Championships. Neither will change when the sun sets on Super Bowl Sunday.

And if anyone should recognize zero class..........

bp;

Is your point that the Vikes should not have scored?  Wasn't that the second drive in a row that Dallas turned over on downs with a very short field?  Weren't the Vikes facing a third and long?

I know the flaw of my engaging you on this question is that I am treating your whinging like a good faith argument rather than the petulant tantrum it is, but I thought a little shame heaped on your asininity would be fun.

Crazy me thought it was the Cowboys job to stop the Vikings from scoring, not the Vikings job not to score...and just when it was all starting to make sense. :P

Well I just managed to read an account of the final quarter (damn International Date Line) and I find that my rant against bp is factually incorrect in almost every particular.  Oops.

Cheeseheads shoulda never let go of Fav-ray.  They would be playing NO next weekend and we would be contemplating the wonderous skills of TJ.

Oh, yeah - Kiffin does have a smokin' hot wife (Layla!)

Pretty easy to agree with you on this point!

I dunno, Sum, I look at him as one half of an idiot savant (take your pick of the half).  There is the advantage of the connection to Pete Carroll, he certainly brings a lot of energy and we know he can recruit, but Kiffin strikes me as awkward, shallow, vapid, and immature - and those may be some of his better qualities.  I was horrified to hear that SC's selection effort was led by my #1 son's former T-ball coach - Pat Haden, whom I've always liked and thought was pretty level headed

Tmert, may have to offer a Mea Culpa on my initial thoughts of the Kiffin hire. Certainly seems that I am in the minority with thinking the hire was a good one. I am afraid we are entering a dark period in the history of Trojan Football.

Sum - Looks like the folks in Tennessee aren't going to let go of this.  Someone posted a rumor on one of their message boards on Saturday that TMZ is in Knoxville looking into some rumors that Boy Blunder was involved in a car wreck last September that involved coeds and booze.

Now this was only posted on Saturday, but there are already 37 pages of comments! :o 8-) http://www.volnation.com/forum/tennessee-vols-football/93388-tmz-reporters-spotted-knoxville-verifying-lame.html

Coeds and booze. Those were the days.... ;D

bleedpurple, these are professional football players paid to score and in a playoff game. It was an 11 yard pass fercrissakes.

I thought Brookings or whoever it was that came over to the Vikings bench looked like the biggest baby of all time.

My guess is, if there is any truth to this, not only will USC be looking for another football coach and a new AD as well. I think Mr. Garrett was on his way out the door. This would pretty much seal his fate.
