You two need passes to the Vikings practices.

What's next, two quotes on 1 page?

I had to cancel my son's Pee Wee game Saturday since most of our team wanted to go see Stout vs St.Olaf at the XCEL as part of Hockey Day Minnesota.

http://athletics.uwstout.edu/splash.aspx?path=mhockey&id=splash_10

It will be the first ever Division 3 game to be played at the X.

I may be a total D-Bag for saying this but if Brett Farve was a baseball player and he just posted up a career season at the age of 39/40 wouldn't people automatically say in their minds "P.E.D.'s"

I wonder why people don't bring that up with a guy like Farve.....maybe since it's football people don't really care?

/sorry I've had a few tall ones tonight.

Reasons they don't:
#1.  They have had drug testing in the NFL for a while now.
#2.  Farve's helmet size has not increased like crazy over the years. (Maybe it has figuratively, but not literally)
#3.  Farve doesn't look like a freak from Muscle Beach

Even my eyes can tell just by observation that if Favre took HGH orother PED's, he needs to get his money back.

BDB - Is the Stout game going to be televised? They haven't mentioned it on any of the promos I've seen, but even if they don't do the whole game, maybe they'll cut in for short periods of time.

Supposed to be carried live on FSN North.

Kirasdad,

Yeah, those points about Farve's never having a change in his body are true but I just find is pretty remarkable that a guy his age is having his best statistical season ever at 40.

The one thing I disagree with your points above is "They have had drug testing in the NFL for a while now".  You can't tell me that P.E.D's in the NFL are not running wild.  The difference is that the fans and media don't care about NFL'ers abusing P.E.D's.

I don't know anything about a 39/40 year old Brett Farve but the Brett Favre that plays for the Vikings plays with the enthusiasm of a high schooler (acts as mature as one at times also).  8-)

Oz, I was going to ask you about the buzz around the Aussie Open. Watched an hour of the gals last night. Kept waiting for Anna to come out to play, but no dice.  ;D

Rod Laver Arena looks nice. Lot's of crazy people wearing hats.

Yes, plenty of crazy.  Wit is rewarded with big laughs.

I actually misremembered the funniest comment.  It actually made Federer stop and catch himself as he was laughing as well.   There was a girl that yelled out about three times "I love you, Roger!"  Finally after she yells it one more time mid-way through the third set, a guy from high up in the seats yells out, "I love you more, Roger!"

Very sarcastic, the Aussies.

bennie,
Did you happen to see the Price/Janssen 'dance'?  ;) .... while drinking beer for those who don't like hockey.

I had not seen that! If you come that far out of the crease to handle the puck like a skater, expect to take a hit like a skater!! And I love how Price drops gloves to fight...but leaves his goalie mask on!! A real tough guy! :P

Here you go Bennie,

this one is an old one but a good one between Wisconsin and UND from 1982.  almost turns into the movie slap shot.

That looked like a wild one! The Badger players throwing the UND player's equipment into the stands is certainly bush league! ;)
