Early prediction: The Tommies win the MIAC football crown in 2010....And the Johnnies lose 2 games.

Same as your prediction last year, no?  How did that turn out?  Don't forget to wear your purple hat and jacket on 10/2.

Oh yeah, there's a discount on Open stuff at the Pebble Beach shop on Cannery Row.

OzJohnnie, my "little girl" is on her way to Aussieland as we speak for a week. She and her soon to be law school graduate brother were in Palm Springs this past weekend for a music festival. Life is so tough for the younger generation! ::)

Can you say town team baseball!!!!!!!!!!!!! The season opens this Sunday when the Chaska Cubs head to Henderson for a 2:00 p.m. game.

Enough of this puck stuff.
How about beer stuff?   :P

http://www.worldbeercup.org/winners.html

That list got me salivating, 57. I'm sure Mr. President will be all over the "Lolita" beer in the fruit beer category, and the "Dude! Where's my Vespa" in the coffee beer category.

Best name: "Polygamy Porter" from Utah

P.S. Our 4 seats for Thursday's Twins game just became available. Email me if interested. Sec 106, Row 7, $43 face.

RE: Polygamy Porter, which is pretty solid stuff ... their motto: "When you want more than one."

On a "It's a Small World" note, My younger son was also at the Coachella Music Fest last weekend. I didn't even know there was such an animal.

Trying to be funny when he told me he had been at the Music thingie, and had been incommunicado, I told him to make up his mind. He didn't find my attempt at humor amusing.

Are you making the trip to Hootsville on Saturday?

That's sugar coating the gathering at the Date Festival site in Indio. You ought to see down the road a piece in Mecca. Your children will never be the same. Suggest you accompany them to Lallapalooza in Grant Park Chi Town for a more comfortable experience in August.

Life is tough.  I'll meet her on the beach... although I seem to have lost my beer somewhere.

Does anyone else know anybody stuck in Europe because of the volcano?

My boss was to leave Munich last Friday,he got out yeaterday, but is not home yet. He was supposed to land @ Dulles, then to MSP. Dulles fogged in,landed in Harrisburg PA (Home of Denny Green) stayed overnight- then to Cincy (this morning) then to MSP sometime later today- go home, try to sleep & then to work Friday to catch up the a pile of crap.

Oh well, at least beer is good in Munich. No Hamms..... ;)

I am contemplating a big decision to be made which will have a huge impact on my future, so I thought it best to consult with the collective genius of this board, lest I make the wrong choice.
I think I will soon be cutting ties (literally) with Charter Cable at my house and switching to satellite. Who should I go with, Dish Network or Direct TV?

With gratitude,
Fins
