Wouldn't that be nice. The Tommies fall off the radar earlier and Mike is back in the dirt looking for arrowheads.

You may be correct in your assessment SJU. however, St. Norbert is much more worthy opponent than who the Johnnies schduled 1st game, Northwestern? Common Slug's!!!

Ha!  Classic Tommie supporter: We're awesome, but we'll probably still lose.

Anyone listen to AM 1500 in the twin cities?  I've listened a handful of times when Tom Linnemann has been co-hosting...he's pretty entertaining to listen to, and seems to know his stuff. (Even if he is a Johnnie  ;) )

Being that I've only followed D3 football closely since about 2003 (like most kids, I couldn't have cared less about d3 while I was in HS), how did the J's do when he was running things?  Was he a team mvp type, or just a cog in the johnnie offense?

Nearly won a national title in 2000 with Tommy at the helm (10-7 loss to Mount Union in the Stagg).  Say what you will about Tom's athletic prowess, but he could sure run a huddle.  I think his charisma/leadership was his biggest strength as a QB.  He knows the game very well.  Granted, he was surrounded by some top-notch team mates, too.

A tradition unrivaled...

I saw that team, Tmerton. His assessment is more than fair.

So, does this guy look like a 1996 grad of MUC?  Speaking of, where's raiderguy?  Maybe they were in the same class ...  8-)

Actually, I was used as an offensive guard most of the year in 2000, and I spent most of the year as a 2nd/3rd stringer; no reason to toot my horn :P

Hey, Pat - maybe you should let the Johnnie fans razz each other a bit rather than thinking you have to set the record straight on SJU football.  Glad to see you covering for Duff, though.  There's a first for everything I guess.

Go figure, there was St. John's football before you came on the scene. ;)

Geez, get off my back, Coleman  :o  I never claimed to be an all-star--just and ordinary guy that did ordinary things extraordinarily well  ;)

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.
