Go figure, there was St. John's football before you came on the scene. ;)

Geez, get off my back, Coleman  :o  I never claimed to be an all-star--just and ordinary guy that did ordinary things extraordinarily well  ;)

I was talking to tmerton there.

I'm in Hong Kong at the moment and I'm in the hotel watching some local World Cup commentary in Chinese.  I, obviously, have no idea what the guys are saying, but I'm struck by their broadcasting uniform.  They are all wearing blue suede dinner jackets with cravats and two of them have the ugliest black rimmed BCG's (Birth Control Glasses, as we referred to them in the Navy).  Odd.

They call him the Horseboy of Google Streetview, but what do I see?  He's wearing purple.  Barney in disguise?

Like getting extraordinarily pancaked by the GAC pulling guard/poster formerly known as Frank Rickard?  ;)
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Some guys have all the luck...

"Man sinks two holes-in-one - a 67 million-to-1 event - at a Tasmanian golf course"

Mr Kube played it cool while his golfing buddies went wild.

"I thought 'Oh well, that's two'. It has to happen to someone," he said.

Anyone listen to AM 1500 in the twin cities?  I've listened a handful of times when Tom Linnemann has been co-hosting...he's pretty entertaining to listen to, and seems to know his stuff. (Even if he is a Johnnie  ;) )

Being that I've only followed D3 football closely since about 2003 (like most kids, I couldn't have cared less about d3 while I was in HS), how did the J's do when he was running things?  Was he a team mvp type, or just a cog in the johnnie offense?
Does anyone else remember several years back- perhaps 2002 or 2003 when Linnemann came on here to the MIAC board to clear his name and to make everyone was perfectly clear on that fact he was not the person behind the moniker Touchdown Tommy  ;D
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Gotta hit Going to the Sun Road. I love the area around Flathead Lake and little towns like Polson and Bigfork, although Bigfork has been heavily Californicated (no offense, Clark ...). I am still kicking myself for passing on a cabin deal on Hungry Horse years ago.

There are some great driftboat floats for trout south of there, the best are on the Clark Fork near Missoula. Other spots near Ennis and Livingston. Lake fishing for kokanee can be great at the right time of the year,  but it's been a while.

Great country.

Drove Going To The Sun from St. Mary to Logan Pass today.  I was told that Logan Pass was just opened up a couple days ago...it was still caked in snow.  There were people snowboarding and snowshoeing at the base of the mountain.  I might hike to Hidden Lake however it's also covered in snow.  Met a couple at my campground from Minnesota and might hike w/ them tomorrow.  Need to buy some bear spray.  From talking to the locals it sounds like the place is crawling w/ Grizz!  I've got a Blackfeet guide lined up for some fly fishing on Tuesday.  This is an awesome place...even if you've got to drive 19+ hours to get here!

or a .454 Casull, which an old hunting buddy (and Minnesota guy) in Alaska used to "repel" a momma G who was chomping on his ankle ....

or just hike with some slow older folks.

Seriously, tho, spray is a good idea and this story was written by the guy with the Casull.

When my brother was in the Coast Guard and stationed on Kodiak Island Alaska they were not allowed to leave the base compound without an M-14 and two clips of ammo.

And that was due to just the local women...

Been to Kodiak, more than a thread of truth ...

Just had a Burly Brown from Stevens Point Brewery, tasted pretty dang good.  But.... I had a few different brews beforehand, was my initial finding correct?
