You need to go away for a while.  I recommend Asia.

Very true Tmerton, just finishing up and then on to the airport...22 hours of flight time await...I feel like you all with your trips to Collegeville each Saturday during the Fall!

Yeah. I'm not sure this is a poster we need anymore.

Thanks, Pat.  The season would have been a long slog with WinterChicken on board.  Tommie fans may be as relieved as the rest of us by his departure.

Well, I'm keeping my eye out. But there's about five Johnnie fans that could think about toning down their childish anti-UST rhetoric as well, understand. So if you want me to cross that line, I will apply the moderator role on both sides of the aisle.

Hopefully there's an exemption if I can rekindle the slam-poetry rivalry with KR.

2010 - 100 Seasons of Johnnie Football Lore

By Johnnie Red

2010, the 100th season for the Johnnies, can you say then and now?
Then being coaches Joe Benda, George Durenberger and John "Blood" McNally, holy cow!

A tradition unrivaled now because of John Gagliardi, a coaching "night owl,"
starting at Carroll College in 1949, SJU in 1953 and now age 83, so hallowed!

As in being the winningest coach in the history of college football and 62 seasons now;
four national championships, 27 conference crowns, 24 postseasons, what about now?

Now being the season of 2010, preseason ranking of 9th in D3, behind the "cash cow!"
The multi-million dollar athletic complex at UST, the Tommies are ranked 5th for now.

The emphasis is on the preseason for the hated rival, though Oct. 2 will bring the crowd,
homecoming for the Johnnies, hosting St. Thomas and a potential D3 record crowd.

Defending MIAC champs and overtime winners over UST in `09, 2010 is about to begin now;
September 4 with Northwestern through the Pipers on November 13 and then playoff bound!

The Stiftungsfestivities, Clemens Stadium, the Bennie dance team, all around;
surrounding the Johnnie football team and coach Gagliardi, another season off the ground.

Striving for so much above the field as in history, fame, championships and caps and gowns;
Johnnie players and coaches, fans and foes, we are blessed with so many touchdowns.

JetBlue flight attendant overreacts

JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater was involved in a bizarre incident on Monday that escalated after he encountered an uncooperative passenger on a JetBlue flight from Pittsburgh to JFK. The 39 year old cabin crew member was hit in the head by either an overhead storage door or luggage, after he had asked the passenger to remain seated until the Embraer 190 twin engine jet had reached the gate.

The passenger, an unidentified woman, allegedly told the crew member to "F--- Off". Slater reacted badly, went on the cabin microphone yelling obscenities at the 100 passengers on the plane, grabbed a beer from the galley, deployed an emergency exit chute, slid to the ground, walked to his silver jeep wrangler parked at an employee lot, and drove to his beachside home in nearby Belle Harbor, Queens, NY. If it had been an action movie, it couldn't have been better scripted.

Impressive, JJR.  Particularly noteworthy is the fact that you managed to get me to read poetry without skipping bits in the middle.

Fall camp is almost here! To celebrate, let's start off with pre-camp MIAC predictions.

Predictions:
1. UST - They may have too much talent and experience to be beaten, as much as I hate them.
2. SJU - Brought in some nice talent to add to their core, may steal the MIAC crown on a blown ca...I mean "Johnnie Magic"
3. Carleton - This is stretching it. Carleton may still be a year away from making another run. They return everyone, the question is if those players have improved enough.
4. Bethel - Will be good enough to win every game, but could lose 1/3 of them.
5. Auggie Tech - Should be OK.
6. CCM - Should be OK.
7. STO - Trash.
8. Hamline - due to the anticipated return of Ray Grant and his 2 catches from last year
9. GAC

These are subject to change prior to the season.

I will go with the +K for that line...

Touchdown Tommy

Ha I watched the video of Ray Grant from Hamline.  4.5 speed...please...4.85 max...

Oh but guys he's bigger, faster, stronger, and more mature than last season.  This cat is 6'5" and nobody is gonna get up in his face and put the press coverage on them.  The team that does will only do it once and regret it.  Hamline means business in 2010.  They are the only team in the MIAC working hard to get better.

2 catches?  Child please, he's got 100 in him this Fall.  I feel lots of monkey stomps on the horizon...
Chasing MILFs since '82...

Touchdown Tommy

Headed to Whistling Straits this weekend for the PGA Championship.  BDB will you be around when I swing through Menomonie?  Retagent are you making the trip up north?  Let me know and we'll have a beer in Kohler/Sheboygan.

C'mon Ray...seriously....a 4.5 doesn't get W's vs. the Johnnies or St. Thomas.  Hamline finishes at best, at best, 3rd in the MIAC.  Have fun at the Straights TDT...should be a good show as Tiger has melt down #2.  Let us know if there is a Hank Haney sighting.
