Maybe the Vikings would have a few less scandals with some good upstanding D3 players on their team! ;D

So what the heck is Festivis? Speaking of the 23rd, I noticed yesterday at a stop in Waverly on my way up to Collegeville that there is an event Friday night at a bar north of Waverly just off of county road 8. It is called something like Rasset's and there is a pretty good DJ putting on a show. Have to love those rural "let's party" events.

Could be a good warmup for the BockFest in New Ulm and the EelPout Festival in Walker in February.

Merry Christmas to all in D3 land!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

One of Pat's wishes for next year:

QuoteAdditional fan sites should be developed by fans of prominent programs, along the lines of sites already in play for Mount Union, UW-Whitewater, Rowan, Bridgewater, Union and others. Schools that jump immediately to mind include Linfield, St. John's and Ithaca.

I think it'd be cool for someone to do an SJU one.  Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor know-how!

The idea of a web site for SJU football hints of too much organization and formality.  It doesn't fit our off beat personality. :P

I just wanted to let you all know that a donation has been made in your name to the Human Fund.  Happy Festivus.

...and just because I can't find my car at 11pm on a Saturday night doesn't mean I'm drunk...waking up the next morning and not remembering that happening means I'm drunk.

Not to bring up wresting again, but, from the Star Tribune

Pro wrestler jailed for two weeks in Twin Cities

QuoteLuger pleaded guilty in February to possession of illegal steroids, which were seized from his Marietta, Ga., condo after his girlfriend, Liz (Miss Elizabeth) Huelette, the one-time manager of Macho Man Randy Savage, was found dead of a drug and alcohol overdose in 2003. He was sentenced to five years' probation.

Wow, Rasset's Bar.  It seriously is out in the middle of nowhere (at intersection of County Road 8 and 35 I think, between Maple Lake and Waverly, it's been a while since I've been out there) and I'm sure the crowd will be interesting to say the least.  I have only been in the actual bar a few times, while snowmobiling on the trails out there.  If you're looking for a very rural atmosphere, it is probably a good spot for it as there is nothing else anywhere around it.
