St. Olaf's webcast was pretty awesome except this little nugget delivered in the 2nd quarter: "UST is exploiting some weaknesses in the St. Olaf secondary. Kind of different from a few years ago where a guy like Waldvogel wouldn't have gotten a sniff against the Oles, because they literally had shut down corners."

St. Olaf was money because they could do things like put up 85 against Carleton. Not because their defense owned.

Money? I think you mean most talented and most underchieving.

They should've said: "shut down corner" They're 2nd and 3rd corners were far from shut down.

I'm told "Timeforchange2" is none other than the Little Wiener Doggie.  I tend to question that as itd be way out of Veek's realm of creativity.  BTW Veek's 50 yardline seats were fantastic.  I'm sure he'll be leaving the girls home in the future as they were maniacs and his daughter Laura told TDT that she hated football!!  Hahahaha.  No trips to the bathroom but I know for a fact Veek spent a pretty penny on concessions trying to keep the little princesses happy.

Well, according to other posts on the Times website TFC2 was at the game in Eau Claire.

And Veek was at the game in Eau Claire. Coincidence? I think so. This just doesn't feel like a Veek move.

Too hard to find the rip on TDT buried on the SC Times website.  ::)

Veek

TDT - -k for being paranoid.  I believe that Laura stated that she hates sitting next to a clown like you during football games.  With your incessant chatter going on she couldn't pay attention to the game.

Fins - keep the koolaid flowing and keep the octane level high.  You reached new standards this past Saturday.
Go Johnnies!!!

Veek- I understand that the food reviews of the concession stand snacks by TDT were over the top on Saturday  ::)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Great photos this week ROR.

I found a couple gems.

First, the Little Wiener Doggie with his daughter Rachel (the one who wanted to come to the game...apparently she did the hard sell on sister Laura to accompany her to the game).  I now see Tyrant #2 Laura rubbing Veek's shoulders when I look closer.  I'll be sitting with Veek Sr at the UST game.

Second, great picture of Tmerton, Noel, and Bam Bam Bigelow.

Do you know anything about why Andrew Johnson hasn't played yet?  I saw that he wasn't suited up at the game Vs. Concordia Wis. and thought he had a knee brace on, but wasn't close enough to tell for sure.

Veek

TDT - Funny how you didn't comment on the clown whose mustard colored left shoulder appears in the photo.  Laura was obviously so sick of your antics by that point in the game that she had to leave her seat and stand behind me.

Try sitting next to Veek Sr for homecoming.  I'm bringing a buddy who has never been to an SJU game before and I don't need his views tainted by having to deal with you.  It's "TimeforChange".
Go Johnnies!!!

Veek-you know TDT will be wearing purple at Homecoming, the only one on the SJU side of the field. Hope your dad can handle the looks.
TFC? Interesting...

Torn MCL during camp. We also lost our #2 receiver to an ACL. Word is AJ should be back for Olaf after the bye, but definitely back for SJU.

Tough for AJ after the preseason All-America pick, but it's been good for the D. We've still played well up front and it's given some snaps to a couple younger guys that will now likely be used more effectively in the rotation. It'll be very nice to get him back in there though.

K & WashedUp: thanks for in game score updates. Any chance either of you might come up to the SJU v BU tilt? Be fun to put a face to the moniker.

Ha that is pretty epic Stanbob.  I have no problem being ripped.  I do have a problem with the insinuation that JohnnieFootball.com or the Stiftungsfestivities tailgate party is some sort of clique or exclusive group.  That couldn't be further from the truth.  We meet scores of new people on a weekly basis and it is always a pleasure.  Virtually everyone is extraordinarily friendly.  Everyone is welcome at the tailgate parties and there is always more than enough food & beverages.

I know He!! is cold today.  I totally agree with TDT about this.  The SJU tailgates were full of very nice people.  They came to Pella were very nice and respectful.  The people I have met from SJU were great.  I amy not always agree with what is posted here but SJU fans are salt of the earth people.  I don't consider TDT salt of the earth people but he is a good guy in person.   ;D ;D ;D

DutchFan2004, thanks so much for your comments. Central is a class school and I love going to Pella, especially for the Tulip Festival in May. One of the most authentic celebrations I have ever attended. The Jaarsma Bakery is also a wonderful place.

Judge,

It is nice of you to say the good things about Pella and Central.  It is the truth about SJU you guys are fun bunch and have a great time.  You support your team greatly and SJU is lucky to have such loyal fans.  Good luck this season I would not mind it at all if our two schools would have to cross paths again.  The pregame is worth it.  Some time I am going to venture up to Collegeville to observe a home town version of your festivities.

I understand that TfC2 is actually Veek's dad. ;D  (Veek would never talk like that! ;))

No Bethel-SJU game for me.  Unfortunately, I will be working that weekend (company is switching to new software and needs me there for the weekend).  If I make it to any games this year I will try to go to the Carleton-Augsburg, Carleton-Olaf, or possibly the Carleton-SJU game.  If anyone ends up playing at Whitewater in the playoffs I may attend that too, its not too far from Madison.
