Damn, I always thought St. Johns was in New York.
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Duffman, one can understand why SJU would be identified with Mpls.-St. Paul, MN, given the total domination of all Division III schools in those two cities by the Johnnies in football. Auggie Tech, Piperville, Tommieland and the team we don't even play anymore, MAC; you might as well consider these schools to be located in Neverland.

The only positive for them is that their cities of location were mentioned. Can't say the same for the city to the north, Arden Hills. No surprise there. :'(

Pat Coleman

That guy must've been using the New Yorker map of the U.S. Surprised he didn't say it was in Chicago.

Greetings from WIAC land.

I do business with SamWill47SJU, and he has given me a couple unique gifts in the past.

This morning I arrive at my office to find this years gift.

I am now the proud owner of a John Gagliardi bobblehead doll.  8)

It will be displayed prominently next to another gift from SamWill47SJU, my Coach Gagliardi autographed copy of "The Sweet Season."

Best presents I recieved both years.  :)

Johnnie Red

BlueDevil Bob, you are one lucky guy! You can return the favor and get SamWill47SJU some cheese curds and a case of Leinie's and call it even. Give him my regards.

Blue Devil Bob:

It is my pleasure to business with you and Steve, and I appreciate the loyalty!  I am glad you have enjoyed the gifts!  The best gift I could give you would be a ticket to a Johnnies game, and a seat at the pre-game tailgating that Johnnie Red typically puts together.  Heck, if the Johnnies win, I would like the chances of me introducing you to the legend John himself!

For you other posters, please know that Blue Devil Bob has few peers in his support of D3 sports! His business hosts a coaches radio talk show for UW-Stout athletics every Saturday Morning!  It is really cool to see how involved he is!  Please keep Blue Devil Bob welcome on the MIAC page!!!

Happy New Year!

Having lived in St. Cloud for a decade, and reeling in a wife from Little Falls, I do have some red running through my veins along with the blue.  :)

Hey guys,
just wondering how even the admissions standards are accross the MIAC.
I know Carleton, and MAC (the will pobably rejoin the fold down the road) have very stringent standards for admission.
How close are those standards to the rest of the conference?
Are they all about the same, or do some of the other schools have an advantage with lower standards?

DuffMan

Like you said, Carleton and Mac are very tough to get into.  In my opinion, the rest are all pretty equal.  All MIAC schools are good academic schools, even Augsburg ;D

Watching the Goophs in the Music City Bowl.

Did anyone else notice the NCAA commerical?  Two short clips of the 2003 Stagg Bowl.  One of MUC scoring a touchdown and one of Keating celebrating (I think) after a Johnnie TD.
