Congratulations, Tommies.  Let's hope that the players represent the conference well.  And with some pratice the Tommie supporters may learn to do so as well.

Week 10 Pick Em's With 2 weeks remaining, expect Fins to get defensive and copy his main rivals to minimize any potential threats.  Picks may be changed up until kickoff in case you want to make a run at Fins.  Just don't pick a game several hours after it has been played (I'm looking at you Tmerton-who just happened to pick macalester 4 hours after they had won).

The point, of course, being that it is tough to learn about the outside world from the middle of the woods.

Of course. Then there's the point that the middle of the woods would by definition be the outside world.
Then, of course, another point would be that the toughest place from which to learn about the outside world would be from inside a narrow mind.

Indeed. Like The Village lol. http://jericthompson.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/the-village.jpg. We all know M. Night evidence is irrefutable.

Things are already crazy outside - barricades up, streets closed.  Got into work just in time.

Pittsburgh paper: Small College Coach Trumps Paterno

"The nice thing about Joe and Eddie (Robinson, former Grambling coach with 408 victories) and all these guys, everytime they get to a milestone I get a little attention."

I am planning on being in Beaver Stadium Sat. when Joe Pa gets his 400th win.  I'm flying out Friday to visit my daughter Kelly who is in her first year of law school at Penn State.  She has no interest in football so this will give her 3 hours to study. ;)  She is, however, planning to partake in the tail gating.  I'll provide some tail gating photos.

As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

ROR, dear God, be kind to her.  The first semester of the first year of law school was the most stressful self doubting experience of my life, thus far.  Luckily, and I mean this seriously, my MIAC education carried me through it.  If she wants, and again seriously, any outlines to check hers against, let me know.

A little birdie just read off the potential Gameday sites for the coming weekends and I heard 3 very very familiar names from our world of D3 football. It is a shame that SJU is having a down year and also that the UST game was early in the season.

Well, she is a Tommie, so she's got that liability to overcome.   ;)

Rumors are swirling that Phil Fulmer (former head coach at Tennesse) is in the mix for the gopher football job.  Would he be good for the program?

Alliance? Whitewater? Perhaps Arden Hills for a Northwestern tilt?

ROR;  You may be the only person on the planet to witness two coaches winning their 400th game.

If I remember, 400 for coach Gagliardi came vs Linfield in 2002 and I believe both of us flew into Portland that day and rode the bus to McMinnville.

I can't absolutely vouch you were there, but if you were, it should be reported.
