LoneAuggieBacker:

Nice job-with the post and the game. I apologize for what I said about your team. Just one guy talking trash gave me a bad taste. Your boys have had a lot of distractions this year. Good job with giving it your all and good luck the rest of the season.

I still owe you a burger. Anytime.

From this point forward I refuse to read any posts that end with at, by, for, into, off, on, out, over, to, under, up, in, or with.  ;D

OAS - 2nd round playoff loss for the Johnnies?  When will you learn?  Don't worry, though, we'll still let you on the bandwagon whenever you deem it appropriate.
Go Johnnies!!!

I feel it is only appropriate to ban him from Stiftungfestivities before the 2nd round playoff game for good measure.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Nah, OAS has been our good luck charm-- he and AO have been wrong whenever they pick against the Jays this year.  Instead of banning him from Stiftingfestivities (which qualifies as cruel and unusual punishment, in my mind), we should give him the key to the Abbey!

OAS wrote an around the region spelling doom upon the Johnnies. Tsk, tsk.

He also writes of Occidental:

"Last word: First round defeat in 2005 after god run last year"

God run???  They're not Bethel.  Looks like OAS is taking lessons from MIAC Maniac on proofreading.  At least he's not writing novels...yet.

MR-if those teams you mentioned win out, perhaps UWW and SJU would meet in the second round, but not the first. The bigger problem is without the bye, who does Linfield play in the first round? OXY?Or does the NCAA ship a second place team from the WIAC, MIAC or IIAC out there for a first round game?

For everyone...everyday I will put a quote on the board....that way everyone will know me as the "quote guy."

I think that's a great idea. You'll sound a lot smarter if you just post other people's thoughts, rather than your own.

Well, first off, Olaf is 7-0 (5-0), SJU is 8-0 (6-0)... and you bolded St Olaf. Hmm.

Secondly, if Olaf beats SJU and loses to Concordia (which would have to be the case for a three-way 9-1 finish) Olaf would win the auto bid...

My point, exactly.  Both teams are still undefeated.  If they were both undefeated at the end of the year (I know it couldn't happen) or if both had one loss, St. Olaf would be the Auto Qualifier.  That's why they're bolded.  That, and I didn't want to look at the situation through the rose colored lenses that Johnnie fans are always accused of wearing.

Duffman, this time of year that is where it is at. ;) Lots of "ifs." :D

Was curious how you guys view the Liberty League... Do we have any respect from other conferences or what???

I am quite anti-Liberty League.  Some jackasshole from RPI still owes me a shirt from the 2003 game.  He was happy to take the 14 points I offered before the game, but less than esteemed about paying up after the Monkey Stomp that ensued.  So my D-3 t-shirt collection has a notable hole in it, and yes, I do hold a grudge.

(Edited to say...)  Let the negative karma flow...

Your analysis was well put and shows you to be a class individual. Lewandowski and Backes made the observation about the hole in the pass coverage over the middle on the radio broadcast. My guess is that the rush mitigated your success in that regard, and that is probably what Gags/Haugen are willing to give up in the bend but not break style they employ. If it was really hurting them, they would probably make the adjustment as necessary. But, and this is not a gloat, when you're up 35 - 0 at half, I guess it was probably the right strategy in their mind.
