Fins - Nice hanging with you today even though it was only for a minute at Fleet Farm.    You certainly came through quick in response to my last post.  Next time, however, let's meet where we can drink.
Yeah Veek, that meeting today at the Mill's Galleria was a little dry. Either they put a bloody Mary bar back in automotive, or we meet somewhere else next time! Fun place to hang out though. I usually cruise the section with the automotive logo jackets and hit on the chicks that are checking that stuff out. Once in a while you get invited back to someone's trailer and then all heck breaks out.
So anyway, how 'bout a night at the fishhouse? or I can take a night off and we can just meet at a bar. Frank??? It's all kinda the same except I don't usually wear my Carharts to a bar unless I go there right after fishing.
I hear a rumor that Frank and Mongo are being inducted into Eagles Aerie #622 this month, we could always go there and cheer them on. Great club. The 1st thing you get after you're sworn in is a ticket for a free drink. After that, the drinks are only slightly more expensive.

fins-
I was inducted 2 monday's ago by Tom Erickson when I was out on my new route since I had missed the initiation on Dec. 21.  Mongo moved out to Vegas this past week so he will be unable to attend.  I still have my free drink ticket so I'm down for the Eagles anytime.

I think TDT post count shouldn't be allowed to go over 199 as a condition of his reinstatement.  Therefore his smiting ability would be compromised.

Closer to it every day

Anyone see the article in the Star Tribune this weekend on the enrollment increase at two of our favorite schools, Bethel and Northwestern? Crown was also mentioned.

Things are going to get extremely busy here in Chaska with the homicide yesterday. As Dusty would say, developing.

johnnie_esq

I just caught that three more suspects were arrested in the developments in Carver county.  Another peaceful day in Chaska it sounds like...

Now as we enter the doldrums of winter, does anyone know anything about whether the MIAC will allow people to download video of games from their website?  If I remember correctly, the MIAC had this new scouting system about having video available for conference games online, and other teams could download and burn to DVD to watch them.  Any chance about this being open to the public?  I'd love to see some Johnnie moments again to remind me of fall.

BTW, the MIAC website is getting a bit antiquated.  I hope that they're planning an upgrade.

By the way, a belated happy birthday to Mighty Royal, who turned the ripe age of 24 last week.

The Bear will now be broadcasting all SJU football games

Please tell me they'll retain Linneman, Backes and the other guy whose name escapes me at this moment!

If they don't I swear I'll boycott the first 5 minutes of the pregame of the first game... and I mean it!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Mark Lewandowski (SP?).
I would think they'll stick with that crew if they're all still willing. I still chuckle just thinking about Lewandowski going nuts in the booth at the end of the Cobber game. He was good for an occasional pre-game Stift...burger, too.
Does this mean no more FM broadcast?

johnnie_esq

I think you mean Lewandowski, KR.

I'm a bit surprised by this change- and a bit sad to see that it will be moving from the FM band to the AM band.  But it will mean a broader daytime reach (good for football!) than Spirit 93, but a much more limited nighttime reach (bad b/c basketball and hockey is usually in the evening.).

But hey, if the cash was worth it...

You gotta get up a little earlier, Esq.  :D
I think the same group owns the FM station. Hoppe family?
So we're not quite ready to make the jump to XM yet, eh?

Fins - I'm always game for fishing.  Frank, me, yourself and three 30 packs of Hamms sounds about right.  Keep me posted.

Frank - Did Mongo land a job in Vegas or was the allure of never sleeping and bright lights all it took to get him out there?
Go Johnnies!!!

Esquire,
You'll have to pay for it, but you can get game films on DVD for any team in the MIAC.  I think about $90 for the whole season.
Try gamefilmsolutions.com
See how many teams play the "Tampa 2" defense.

johnnie_esq

oldtimfan- wow, thanks for that link.  I may have to look at that more closely!

Plus they have high school games.  If only they were cheaper!

Mongo took an internship with the Las Vegas Gladiators, who as many of you remember, are famous for a once having a coach running around shirtless...
