Congratulations to the Bethel football team..coaches, players and support people.  It was a great season and it was fun following your progress.  In the DIII rankings, you went from 5 votes..down to 2 votes early in the season and ended today in the national semi-final game, one of four  teams left standing. As a former player ('57,'58) we have seen the program go through ups and downs.  You have contributed in a significant way to a program that will continue on the way up and will continue to represent Bethel University well.  Thanks for a great season and I am looking forward to next year with a strong group of returning players (fourteen starters coming back) to win the MIAC.

Hope to see more of a passing game next year with Hallstrom,Duininck and Hilbrands back.

Have to cancel my motel reservations in Roanoke now!

Congrats to Bethel on their play-off run.  I wonder how this game would have shook out if Seaman doesn't get hurt.  Piloto added a WHOLE other dimension that Mount hasn't had all year.  The kid has a HUGE arm, and he sure used it.
He impressed me running the ball as well. Don't know how much of a runner Seaman is, but Piloto reminded me of your old #13.

Mount starts 6 seniors and very few juniors. The bulk of the starters are sophomores. Speed was the major difference today.

I was at today's game and would like to congratulate Bethel on a fine season. The Royals have a very good team and it just got away from them in the 2nd quarter.  It's really hard to play catch-up with a ball control offense. Overall, BU fans should be proud of their team and their accomplishments.  A final four is pretty awesome and something to build on. I also had an opportunity to meet a number of the Bethel faithful who were nothing but class. The team and its fans represented the University well. Congrats!

OZ - I've been reading about the torrential rains Down Under.  Pardon my  Geographical Ignorance (or laziness, since I didn't bother to get out a map) I hope you're high and dry.

The dams were so low that although there has been some flooding, it's not been too bad.  The water is running into the drinking supply instead.  We've been pretty dry for a couple years.

What a game Bethel.  It stats tell me that but for the second quarter you did very well.  Much improved over your last outing.  Very respectable.

EDIT: And then I read the posts here...  Still, a very good year, Bethel.

I've always thought that Hanukkah was a bit of a sop to Christmas with Passover being the most important Jewish holiday, but the Jewish beer company He'Brew may have me coming around...

"He'Brew helps customers build beer menorahs"

The He'Brew Jewbelation series, brewed in New York for San Francisco's Shmaltz Brewing Co., began with Jewbelation 8, which contained eight malts, eight hops and 8 percent alcohol by volume.

A tip of the hat to the Bethel faithful. Your team, students and parents/fans that made it were a credit to the school. Here's hoping that you'll be able to tell recruits that you lost to the eventual national champions

I believe someone said that, had St. Thomas been hosting this game, it would have been moved to the metrodome...  :D classic example of making plans being God's comedy show.

great effort and class shown by Bethel FB yesterday.  Kids were obviously well prepared and coached, hit, and did not quit, class all the way.  Fans that made the trip were spirited and was delighted to met a few.  Typical D3 fans...love their kids, their school and the best football played by kids who love the game.  The kid who played with the broken wrist was inspiring and a stud.
Mount's speed is a killer for most teams, and was the same yesterday.  Good luck and hope to see your team and fans in the future.

Hoping that everyone got home safely before it got really bad. Don't wait another four years before visiting beautiful Alliance, Ohio. (Careful , I was born there)

MN winters suck!  >:(  After 3 hours of shoveling (with help for 2 hours), I am left with an incredibly sore back and half of a driveway that still needs shoveling.  Should be a fun evening.

D O.C.

Hey, I'm with ya'.

No surf yesterday and a complete waste of a clear 80 day!    8-)

I'll be there in 4 weeks D.O.C. Unfortunately, it's only for two weeks split between San Diego and Palm Springs. At least I'll feed my golf Jones for a while.

Amazingly, I couldn't get the dog to pick up a shovel  >:(

I've been teetering on a snowblower purchase for a few years.  This one pushed me over the edge.  A little late for this storm, but I'll be getting one soon.
