Pardon my long absence which will be broken by a question I will apologize for pre emptively, if it has been discussed previously. While in the old home town, I purchased some Grain Belt Nordeast. It wasn't what I expected, and I'm trying to decide whether I liked it or not. Some of you conno-sewers can give me your reviews if you wish.

Congrats Tommies for the National Championship. Will the Johnnies, currently ranked #3, get another in golf?

Pat Coleman

For what it's worth, I enjoy the Nordeast. I am not a hoppy/IPA beer drinker.

Nordeast ain't bad.  It's definitely Grainbelt.  It's not one of my favorites, but I don't dislike it.

Duff's last sentence is a perfect reflection of my thoughts. I prefer it over about as many as I prefer above it. Like I said, I expected a hearetier brew, based upon its appearance, and didn't get it, which put me into my quandry.

Not a fan of Nordeast, too much of a sweetness to it. Same style of beer, but much better flavor is the new Northern beer out of the Cold Spring Brewery. Really. And I'm not just saying that because they were handing free ones out from their float in the Pearl Lake St. Patty's parade.

And now we see what TDT has been doing with this time lately...  Apparently "Chicks find it sexy."

Triple post!

Rove McManus, one of Melbourne's own, has this Rove Across America feature on the Jay Leno show.  You may not know, but he was at the Eelpout Festival and it's a pretty entertaining bit.  The video is here for those that are interested.  Also, you are unlikely to know that my cousin Danny is in there.  Both this clip and the part 2 clip.  He doesn't say anything, but he's in the group with the drunk guy.

Go Walker!  Doing Minnesota proud!

I gaze at the brilliant full moon. The same one, I think to myself, at which Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato gazed. Suddenly, I imagine they appear beside me.

I tell Socrates about the national debate over one's right to die and wonder at the constancy of the human condition.

I tell Plato that I live in the country that has come closest to Utopia and I show him a copy of the Constitution.

I tell Aristotle that we have found many more than four basic elements and I show him a periodic table.

Then I get a box of kitchen matches and strike one. They gasp with wonder.

We spend the rest of the night lighting farts.

We are minutes away from the opening bounce of the 2011 AFL season.  Tonight's game is between Carlton and Richmond.  Hawthorn open up the season this weekend in Adelaide.

I felt actively encouraging comparing teams to others' criminal acts wasn't really worthwhile.

Pat's correct.  The team mentioned just taking the field is a crime in itself.  :o

The BBE Jaguars are tearing through the MN state basketball tournament.  I might have to do the unthinkable tomorrow and watch a basketball game!
