That's almost as pathetic as our argument about attendance. Then again, arguing about who's got more friends (I.e. fans) probably isn't as sad as blatantly begging for more friends  ;D  8-)

Or as sad as perpetually ragging on a team about their home attendance, while simultaneously bragging about yours. Only to have your highest attended game ever, in the history of your program, league, and governing body (NCAA Division III), end in a shanked extra point...for a loss. Then, having to stand there, mouth agape, while the school you hate most on the planet, the school that has been your gridiron lap dog for the better part of a century, have their fans rush on to YOUR field, and daaaaaance, and dance and dance. Ouch. That is sad.

25 years  and thats the best you can come up with?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

I think it was Bud Grant that was known for saying "Act like you've been there before."

Oh...that's right...it's been a while.  ;D

One of the worst helmets ever!  An ADHD nightmare!

Add Arizona St and Oklahoma St to the list...I guess this is what happens when corporations are allowed to pump $$$ into college sports.

I would have to pick Augsburg as the MIAC team most likely to sport the combat-techno-terminator style.  Hamline would be a close second.
I know SJU would never go this route and also could never see Carleton or Gustavus going this direction (I've always loved the Gustie look...especially the winged helmet)

I remember when ASU first unveiled their new logo there was concern with them (and their merchandise) becoming popular with gangs due to the similarity to gang signs.

Yeah, I saw the plea for "tweeps" on facebook and decided to refrain. Of course, the SID at Concordia is a St. John's grad. ;D

Jim does a great job for the Cobbers.

SJU would be more likely to go the NASCAR route - the entire helmet covered in advertising.

Hi all - I'm at Carthage fan..made the trek up to Northfield for our game against Carleton. I was just wondering if there were any Carleton backers here..or anyone that might have an update on the Carleton player who got injured this weekend. Looked pretty rough - ambulance came and they were very careful in handling him..never good to see, your team or your opponents. I just thought I'd come to your board and see if anyone knew anything. Good luck on all of your respective seasons!

Not many, but one or two poke their heads in on occasion.

The blocks are really the highlight in my opinion. #62 Bubba Friedlund's great pull to spring him (very athletic play for a big man), the receivers blocking hard down field and then the icing when #22 Marquardt levels the guy at the 5 to clear Aakre for the endzone. The last one was great on a lot of levels. Great hustle. Great burst to get in front of Aakre. Great selflessness in his celebration. I love to see WR's, QB's and RB's who celebrate hard when somebody else scores. You expect that from the O-line. They live to serve for their teammates glory, but it's great to see a RB's excitement over a teammates score.

And another thing. They all celebrate together! None of this 'look at me' junk. This is why I love DIII! The team is bigger than the individual.
