We got the little guy home yesterday.  Thanks to all those that dropped me words of support and encouragement.  He's doing well.  They're still keeping an eye on the jaundice, but it is great to get him out from under the light therapy!

The little glow bug taking a snooze.

Congrats! We had a bit of a jaundice watch with repete jr. although it seems so long ago now that he is a surly (and extremely healthy) 19. It's a long, amazing and -- except for those nights when you realize that strange smell in the house is an aging cheesesteak under his bed -- tremendously satisfying journey.

Flash -- Good to hear from you and best wishes.

Duffman-Congrats on the birth of your son!  Who knows one day he may put on the Maroon and Gold for the cobbers to lead them up the the top of the MIAC again!

Bench-Were you thinking of making the trip to Moorhead from GF to watch the Cobber/Tommie game.  As long as the tommies have no significant injuries at this time, save your gas money and time to stick in GF.  I don't think the cobbers have much of a chance unless the wind is blowing 50 mph and the tommies can't pass.  On that note I will be the first to predict the biggest upset in the MIAC this season as the cobbers beat UST 28-27.  I will not be there as I have to go to San Diego this weekend to make sure the ocean is still there!

Congrats, Duff, your family is growing in leaps and bounds.

My grandson was a premie and jaundice was an issue.  He's now a healthy 5 y/o.  One of my favorite pictures of him is when he was laying under the therapy light wearing the cool sunglasses.

Good to hear from you Flash.  I've been wondering where you've been.

I'll be in Collegeville on Saturday, my first trip to St. John's since 2005 and my second since 1999. Hopefully will make it to the pregame festivities but not sure. I think I'll be coming up with the folks and likely four nephews and a niece. Hope to see some of you there. I know TT wears a Nick Ambrasas St. Thomas throwback jersey but do other people wear Coborn's-sponsored nametags?

sfury, you've got to at least stop by.

The Coborn's sponsored name tags is an excellent idea.

Some information I just learned re THE game on 10/1 - the Twin Cities Marathon is on Sunday of that weekend, and there is also a 5K and 10K run on Saturday morning, and Summit Avenue will be closed that morning.  Can someone get the specifics on that and how it might affect the Stiftungfestivities timing and location?

https://www.tcmevents.org/events/medtronic_twin_cities_marathon_weekend/spectators/road_closings/ On Saturday, the 10k and 5k only go as far west as Pascal on Summit, wouldn't even interfere with the tailgaters at MAC.

I really want to come down for the game, but I'll be cutting it too close for some other obligations. That being said, last year's game got out of hand in a hurry, but is not indicative of this series. UST is good this year, no doubt, but they are still trying to carve out a new identity with some fresh faces, which means, freshman mistakes.

That being said, I also have seen how quickly the Cobbers can turn it around from one season to the next. Recruiting in western Minnesota and the Red River Valley provides little competition if the kid is academically motivated but not quite the player the Bison/Sioux are looking for.

Bench--you probably know this, but you can listen in on AM 1660 to hear Larry Knutson's play by play on Saturday. I'm quite sure the signal hits a wide enough radius to meet your various comings and goings--not too much interference from the landscape contours of the Red River valley. I'm hoping for a nail biter like last weekend versus SJU...but with a slightly different outcome. Good travels.

I'm sitting in the MCG waiting for the first semi-final to start between Hawthorn and Collingwood. It's a big game but Collingwood are pretty heavy favorites. If we show up we have a chance to make the Grand Final.

The other semi is between Geelong and West Coast. Geelong are heavy favorites in that game so if things work out right we could be looking at a replay of '08 and the best part is that I just secured tickets to the Grand Final if Hawthorn win tonight.

Heartache. A three point loss in a brutally hard game. This was the toughest game I have ever seen. And the Hawks had their chances to win but failed to capitalize. Crud.
