Congrats to the Tommies.  You've had a great season and played a competitive game against us.  The Tommie following was heads and shoulders above all of the others we've seen at the Perk this year.  You came out in force to support your team and I tip my hat to you for that.  All of the Tommie fans I had interactions with were gracious and friendly.  I personally tried to see to it that all of your guys in the press box were taken care of.

It was a great game and I wouldn't mind having us do it again in 2012.

Let me also add my congrats to the Tommies, their staff and classy fans!  What a great showing yesterday at the Perk and your team played such a hard fought, respectful and terrific game!  A team you can be extremely proud of.  I don't see your program going anywhere but up in the next few years!  Best of luck next season.

Very impressive showing indeed. It's not too often we see our visitor stands packed with fans, flags and signs.

It was fun to see.

act like he has been there before.

Never claimed to be a UWW fan - although was a huge Justin Beaver fan when they won the Stagg Bowl. And I am a fan of the underdogs - was rooting for Wesley yesterday, not so much as an anti-MUC just looking for a new program to step in.  I and my heart though is in the east.

None the less, Warhawk Dad makes my point for me and sums up the reason why I ventured over to the MIAC boards in the first place: "Act like he has been there before"

Go back and look at the comments from money nation pre-semi final beatdown.

Have a great rest of your Sunday - and see you next year!!!

WW's looking "dominate" today.  On their way to a Monkey Stomp Out!

I ran into a friend of mine today who works the chains at WARHAWK football games.  The chain gang works on our opponent's sideline so they get a pretty up close look at the coaches, players and to a slightly lesser extent the fans.  He had nothing but praise for the entire Tommie's contingency.  He told me they were nothing but classy.  One incident he related to me occurred with 3-4 minutes remaining in the game when defeat was inevitable.  Coach Caruso approached the team and said, "remember we're a classy program."  It's easy to let your emotions get the better of you when you're frustrated and disappointed but to their credit the Tommies kept it together and finished the game in a classy manner.  I have a lot of respect for that.

I'll do the post mortem eventually...hopefully some of the younger guys filed away what it takes to get to where UWW is.

Outside of the extreme discipline of the defense, the thing that impressed me the most about UWW was the play of Matt Blanchard. It was clear from the onset that UST was going to try to get him on the ground as much as possible and he stepped up and made tough throws while taking a beating. UWW had execellent game plan, and to implement it so well you couldn't help but be impressed.

I had to read that first sentence three times because the first two times my eyes insisted on seeing that middlerelief was a Justin Bieber fan.  Must have been one of those mind-association things that Freud wrote about.

EDIT:  HA!  Someone pinged me for going after middlerelief!  Now that's funny.

Matt's play was absolutely stellar and it has been all season! I sure hope the selection committee took note................ :)

My guess is that it was Middlerelief, using his SJF-related handle.

+K, Bugs just doesn't get quoted enough.

gotta admit, on the way home from work was going to turn to 830 but in my switch of the dial found a Marcel Marceau tribute instead and stuck with that.
