By the way, welcome back Bench. I was beginning to think you fled westward to the oil fields to make a fist full of cash and had no internet access.... :P

Truth be told, I will be out west some. With all of the lawyers doing oil and gas law, no one is doing criminal law out there (Williston). We'll be rotating people out there until some of our newbies pass the Bar Exam. Personally, it sounds like my idea of hell, but I'm not in much a position to argue.

RE: Ramler. I wouldn't mind seeing him on the sidelines/up in the booth at UND with Chris Mussman. UND's offense has been the same for nearly a decade and it's just stale. Strong running game, with a frustratingly easy to stop horizontal passing game (swing passes/bubble screens to the slot, naked boots to TEs or FBs always on first down) and occassionally a shot down field on a skinny post or go route to their big play guy.

Time for a bit of a humor time out?  Morning show hosts in Australia can be as dumb as any anywhere.  And this idiot is almost the dumbest you will ever see.  Here he is telling a very lame Dali Lama joke to the Dali Lama.

I saw that. Kind of thought it was funny because the guy actually had the balls to tell a Dalai Lama joke to the Dalai Lama himself...and the fact that it didn't translate properly.

He looked like my grampa when there's a lot of background noise, he has no idea what anyone is saying but seems happy to be there.

"A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice."

"What an incredible Cinderella story, this unknown comes outta no where to lead the pack, at Augusta. He's on his final hole, he's about 455 yards away - he's gonna hit about a two-iron I think. Oh he got all of that one! The crowd is standing on its feet here, the normally reserved Augusta crowd - going wild - for this young Cinderella, he's come outta no where, he's got about 350 yards left, he's gonna hit about a five-iron, don't you think? He's got a beautiful backswing - that's - Oh he got all of that one! He's gotta be pleased with that, the crowd is just on its feet here, uh - He's the Cinderella boy, uh - tears in his eyes I guess as he lines up this last shot, he's got about 195 yards left, he's got about a - its looks like he's got about an eight-iron. This crowd has gone deathly silent, the Cinderella story, outta no where, a former greenskeeper now - about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac - It's in the Hole!" - Carl Spackler

That's what she said." - Michael Scott

When our esteemed former Governor Turnbuckle (aka Jessie Ventura) met the Lama, he asked him if he really said "Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga."  One too many pile drivers.

Bench, did you buy it online? Is there any possibility of getting a sneak picture preview?

Faunch, hopefully with the cooler weather coming the ice will be solid on Leech Lake for the Eelpout Festival. I remember last year when they would not allow any vehicles on the lake because of all the slush earlier in the winter. My brothers are already gearing up for the companion celebration at Shamrock Lodge on our lake property near Longville.

Probably when the majority of them stopped looking like "cabins" and started to be sized like second homes that happened to be on lakes.

UW-Stout unveiled it's new mascot this past football season and now he is being given a name via Facebook voting.

I have humbly suggested BlueDevil Bob.  ;D

I saw that in the newspaper yesterday.  I submitted Blue Devil Bob.  I'll share the prize when I win.   ;D

Agreed...when people began to tear down their cabins and build mini-mansions the little lake lots became "lake property."

So, I ordered the cup online, designed the whole thing, paid the extra $ for a Hamm's logo and wording. Then got an email at 4:00am that they couldn't do it. So it's back to the drawing board with a different company that doesn't care about htings like "trademark infringement."

Post a link to the voting, BDB.  Let's try to get your name immortalized (for a positive reason this time...)
