Folks in this part of the world excel at playing the straight man and saying the most outlandish things without a hint of humor to see who they can catch.  But this one here is a doozy.  I reckon it's a joke but I'm not quite sure.

@rajko1973 has Tweeted photos of the lights at Clemens Stadium.  If you ask me, they look like crap.

Nobody asked you...just kidding  ;D  I don't really care for the look of them either.  They don't blend with the flora of the Natural Bowl.  They also might obstruct Finn's view from the skybox.
The one on the hill looks terrible....they'd better wrap a pad around it like they have on the goalpost or some kid is going to roll into it and crack his/her head open.

If they were going to put lights up, I wish they would have done it right.  What they did looks high-school level, and I have my doubts if that amount of lights will really do the job.  Since they saved so much money by not digging the footings as deep as suggested, they could have done a nicer job with what they put up.

It should come as no surprise that I think the lights look awful, especially since I've been hyperventilating over the idea of lights at Clemens Stadium for some time now. The fact that I'm in a pissy mood today doesn't help my ability to digest this news.

I'm throwing a flag on the play, a 15-yard personal foul, violating the Benedictine vow of stability by poor stewardship of the Natural Bowl.

Beautiful.

I love the way it compliments the silhouette of the Abbey Bell Banner...

...by almost completely obstructing it.  :-[

Tressel returns to the MIAC
And to imagine....last year at this time he was at Hopkins High trying to recruit McDonald.  Big difference between The Horseshoe and Laird Stadium.  Think any Carleton players are making any money or getting tattoos in exchange for Knights gear and memorabilia?  Maybe that's why Ramler left....I smell something rotten.

Man, that's a shame. Right in the middle of that hill. The school admin cannot be happy with that. I give it three years before they are pulled back out.

Beautiful.

That's ugly from 1154.73 miles away :o

Many have made the argument that having lights can help the athletic department and SJU as a whole, and even though I hated the idea initially, I have come to accept the idea of lights in the Natural Bowl.

I know how much I dislike it when someone tries to tell me how to do my job, so I know I'm going to ruffle a lot of administrative feathers with my next comment.
I'm pretty sure that I, as someone with zero expertise in light engineering, could have done a better job camouflaging lights in the hillsides of Clemens Stadium.
If you're not going to do it right, then don't do it at all!

I simply cannot believe that they went ahead with the cheapest option on this "project", but then I saw the pictures.  What the heck was being thought when this went through?
