LAB, is your eligibility up, or will we be seeing you play again next year?

Anyone catch the Fox 9 story about college binge drinking?  They cut to a close-up of a Hamm's tap!  I guess you have to go to the bars by the U to find Hamm's on tap.

Duff,

If that was Fox 9 were they tailing the Gopher hockey players again?  :)

You are driving a sedan, not a Massey-Ferguson pulling a manure spreader.

Ha  :D

No, BDB, I don't think they were tailing the Gopher hockey team...this time.

A tradition unrivaled...

Duff,

Did you catch the name of the bar?

Sounds like a good place for lunch.

Gimme a cheeseburger and a Hamm's on tap.

I have one last year of eligibility this coming fall, and will be sad to see it end.  My one "link to fame" on this trip was sitting next to Rev. Al Sharpton on the intra-airport shuttle in the Atlanta Airport.  However, I only exchanged, "Hellos" with him, and then he got off the train.   My biggest problem is that, along with English, I speak fluent Spanish, but have only had 3 semesters of German, so, I've gotten pretty good at international sign/body language!  The other bit of GREAT news for my family (my wife and I) is that she got accepted into Augsburg's PA School.  She is an Ole grad, but apparently was Jealous of me getting to spend so much time at the scenic Augsburg campus!  See, you all want to be Auggies!   HA!  Well, now that I've told as many jokes as I can immediately think of, I'm off to study some more International Cost Accounting.  So much fun!  Best wishes to all.

Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Red-

My wife will be coming over March 6 and then fly home with me on May 1st.  My program will end here on April 13th, so from the 13th through the 29th, we will travel south.  From Mosbach (just north of Stuttgart), down through Zurich, then on to Modena (Ferrari's Headquarters, where I will tour the plant and meet with the HR dept) then back north to Innsbruck and Salzburg.  Finally, through Munich and will stay our last day and a half in Stuttgart where we fly out of.  I would love to see many of the cities that your son got to see, as I've heard Prague and Budapest are amazing cities.  We had planned on seeing Rome, but my wife already spent a semester there at Olaf, and we are trying to see totaly new places.

I'll try to have a beer for all of you!  Take care.

fins - Apparently your presence on the hoops boards wasn't well received. There've been about 3 messages saying this isn't the football board already :)
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

LAB- I'll be in Paris visiting my wife (who'll be spending the semester in France) in March for almost two weeks with my brother-in-law.  We should look into a European Stiftingfest tour!

Fins-does the La have that "drink your father's beer" promotion, with the PBR, often? That was the beer I chose that November night.
I think they still do that. THey're busy with beach parties and tan contests lately, I hear.

LAB-Good to hear from you. Thanks for checking in. Your hoops team is doing well this season. And I know all about hoops. Just ask Willy. Have fun over there.
JR- What about that program in Carver County I read about in the Trib yesterday? Eat, talk, connect or something like that. Try to get families to sit down at dinner and talk to each other. HAH! Think that'll work in Amsterdam? Well, it must work. All those Saturdays that we've broken bread together and shared fellowship, and none of us have killed each other.
Willy- You're all wet. They love me on the hoops board.

CCKnight

When I lived in the NYC a year or so ago, PBR was becoming the new trendy cheap beer.  Bars there would sell cans for $1.50 - $2 depending on the bar, and at some of them it was by far the beer of choice, probably due to the price as beers there are usually over $5 bucks for a pint.  I've also seen it more and more in Minneapolis as well.

As far as the cheap potent beers go, we always went with the Natty Ice at Carleton.  I still remember the funny looks I recieved beer bonging natty ice in a dorm bathroom on a Monday night my freshman year.  Apparently some people thought the purpose of college was only to study and go to class.

I would recommend that everyone pay a visit to the MIAC hoops board and let OAS know how badly his team will be spanked by SJU tonight on the hardboards.
Be sure to mix some football talk in with your BB talk. They love that over there.

From the Shooter...

"Former Twin Ron Coomer will be the featured speaker for the Crystal Little League benefit dinner April 1 at the VFW Post in Crystal."

I presume Duffman will be in his usual corner seat at the bar for this event sucking down Hamm's.  See if you can get a game used autographed jock strap for KR.

Kilted Rat

Little Red Riding Hood is skipping down the road when she sees a big bad wolf crouched down behind a log.

"My, what big eyes you have, Mr.Wolf."

The wolf jumps up and runs away.

Further down the road Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again and this time he is crouched behind a bush.

"My what big ears you have, Mr. Wolf."

Again the wolf jumps up and runs away.

About two miles down the road Little Red Riding Hood sees the wolf again and this time he is crouched down behind a rock.

"My what big teeth you have Mr. Wolf.

With that the wolf jumps up and screams, "Will you knock it off, I'm trying to poop!"

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
