I found this interesting, although it appears to have a heavy West Coast (and anti-Midwest) bias. How could Milwaukee, St. Louis, Cincinatti and the Twin Cities NOT make this list?

It may have to do with the number of brew pubs in the city.

Since when has cnn been concerned with accurate reporting anyways?

.oh wait...they just promoted his son from within.  Maybe SJU should have done that...promoted from within...not necessarily the son part though. ;)

Whoa!  LK Retires as Head Coach at Mount Union

Wow.  I wonder if there were any signs that this was coming.

332-24. 11 national titles. All good. But when Kehres had defeated Glenn Caruso, well, how could you ever top that?

He probably retired knowing that he'd likely never top the almighty GC again.  ::)

LK's retirement has been a topic in Alliance for quite a few years.   Figured it was more likely this off season because of Title #11.   In my opinion, there was almost zero chance he was retiring after a loss.

And the timing of giving the program to Vince is good too.  They're loaded on defense for '13 a clutch, experienced QB and have a stud TB that will both be juniors this fall.  Only question this fall is the #1 receiver position.   The cupboard for VK is hardly empty.  The key will be re-stocking it like his Dad did.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

The Mount missed a great chance if they didn't try to pry gc away from summit...

It'll be interesting to watch. I'm not sure how he can repeat the dominance of his father (.928 winning percentage is mind boggling!!). LK was simply historic. Granted it sounds like VK won't be doing any rebuilding or reloading this year. But perceptions do swing. And teams/programs tend to have a cyclical nature. Even the most dominant have down years.

That said, I can't imagine a significant decline. But maybe this opens the door a crack for other teams to get a shot. Guess we'll see.

After all that useless prognostication, congrats to Kehres on one incredible career. The man could flat out coach.
