Second week in a row a Triple Take writer picks Bethel to be the most likely Top 25 Team to get upset. This week, it's two of them. Also interesting no one picked it as the game of the week  Expecting a Cobber blowout ?!?

Pat's take: No. 5 Bethel. I believe Bethel is the better team here but I'm resting this pick on the fact that Bethel really shouldn't have won* that game last year anyway. Concordia-Moorhead will be very motivated to make sure they are not in position to lose if they celebrate prematurely on the field at the end of the game.

Keith's take: No. 5 Bethel. I know, I keep on repeating, but the other possibilities, like No. 17 Wabash, get mentioned elsewhere anyway. Moorhead is the most significant road trip in the MIAC, for starters. The Cobbers are one of those teams who has been on the verge of getting it done but stays underrated because they haven't. They also haven't been dominant in their 4-0 start, and would need to slow the Royals' run game (228 yds/g) to pull the  upset. Luckily, they've allowed only 96 rushing yards per game so far.

Here's to hoping they are wrong again 

That said, I think it's a likely to be a great, physical game. Both teams run and pass effectively and have QB's playing very well with some talented WR's. I wouldn't agree with Keith's take on the road trip. For starters, it's a shorter/easier trip than Bethel's already made to BV. And I always enjoyed the Moorhead trip. Players and coaches love the chance to go up a day early, spend the night and be really focused building up to game day. Less distractions IMO.

I don't expect a blowout...with the crazy weather in Moorhead I don't know what to expect. I passed the Bethel team busses on the way up today, and am staying in the same hotel as the players (along with the UMD football team). I promise I won't spend my night dialing phone extensions!

Wind should be whipping at the Jake tomorrow, and there's a chance the occasional rains may continue past noon. Campus is abuzz with homecoming activities...good atmosphere. should be a good one!

Question: Augustana (IL) gets upset when people add an extra 'g' to 'Augie'.  Anyone know why Augsburg seems to be universally a 2-g 'Auggie'?

I might have to change my moniker at the Stiftungsfestivies tomorrow in Collegeville. Last week on Tuesday I had bail hearings. One of the persons in custody was there for a probation violation. As I called his case, he proceeded to call me "dude" about eight times. As we were walking back from the jail to the courthouse, court staff suggested that I should be called Judge Dude! Then this past Tuesday I had a person appear in front of me who was late for criminal court. He called me dude three times. Now if I could only have a show like Judge Judy and make the millions she takes in every year.

I was not aware there are so many U$Td alumni residing in Carver County   

There's more dudes in Scott County.  You'll notice a subtle accent change when crossing the river.

I agree you never see Augies, only "Auggies". Maybe it carries over from the name of the school. Augustana with one "g" Augsburg with two "g" s. It's a reminder..........who knows.

Clicked the link today and it took me to UStream...which said the event was scheduled to start at 9 pm CST 

Is this a sort of 'tape delay' broadcast? Does anyone know if this is the case? Does Concordia not broadcast the game feed live? Any help and info would be appreciated

The Olaf game was live, but things may have changed.  There may be a computer clock issue.  It could be several places so I could not begin to give you a place to pin it down.

Not sure, but I would guess that this is just a scheduled rebroadcast time for the game and that it will be shown live as well.
