A paltry 8,886 in attendance at a gray and soggy Natural Bowl today.

Good thing the Johnnies don't live video stream the games. It probably would've caused the attendance to be as low as 8,862 (worst case scenario).

Dear Tom Stock:
I would have been at the game today but my eighth grader had a volleyball tournament.  Would have been great to watch the end of the football game on a mobile device or the finish when I got home.  I know...I'm just a cheap leech that wants something for nothing.
Go Johnnies!

Thanks for the positivity...as much as I rip on U$T the SJU administration is really acting like a bunch of cheap screws by not having a webcast because it might impact attendance numbers.  I wonder if this more of a financial consideration or is it that they want the "attendance" title every season?

Just think of the attendance boost Carleton could have if they got rid of their streaming webcast. Can you say juggernaut?

I don't know where this "...could of.... " thing started, but I'm on a crusade to wipe it out.

The correct version actually contains the verb "have" as in, "I could have done that, but I decided not to." Is this a function of not learning grammar, and just relying on "Spell Check?

Faunch,

I suffered as a Chicago Blackhawk fan  when Bill Wirtz was alive he wouldn't televise home games because he was worried about attendance revenue and it backfired when fans lost interest when they struggled.  Hey speaking of struggling UST is down to there 4 string QB! I Ian impressed so far with UST's ability to fill the gaps with great kids...at lest I believe!!!

Microsoft Word 2010 auto-corrects "could of" and replaces it with "could have." Perhaps, that is a place to start. There is no incentive to input the correct words for members of my generation.

Hey CT,

Just keep believing. My son and I are watching NASCAR, Wild, Johnny Football (as in Texas A&M)  and Tigers/Red Sox all at the same time and he's a 2nd year Bantam hockey player and they've been practicing for a couple weeks. I asked him what he likes about playing hockey. He said "what's not to like?"

Exactly.

I freaking know it a great tv night as a sports fan I have no idea what to watch... Hockey, basketball, baseball, and FOOTBALL!

Well I'm just sitting in my living room in front of the fire (gas, not peat) enjoying a pint or 2 or 3 and listening to Irish music on my iPod....trying to imagine I'm at a snug in Ireland.  :'(

Here I fixed this for you. Plus, since I went to the 4 at St. Joe's, I don't have to attend Mass tomorrow and can hang a level 5 on. You, on the other hand must calibrate.

Was at the SJU-Auggie game today and at half time they introduced the 2003 DIII national championship team. Maybe I didn't hear correctly, but I could of sworn they said that the 2003 team outscored their opponents 4003 (yes, 4 thousand 3) to 95 !!!!  Checked the SJU web site and according to their stats, the 2003 team scored 534 and gave up 149.  Did anyone else notice this?

Went and checked the numbers just for the regular season, and the numbers were 403 scored and 95 allowed. Guess the announcer misread 403 as 4,003 as I'm positive he said 4,003.  ::)

Yes, Tom Stock did say 4,003.  Thought it was pretty funny.

Ha!

Man, by the time they have the 50th reunion they'll have outscored opponents 40,000,003 to 95, will have one the Super Bowl and be able to join the '72 Dolphins as the only undefeated NFL champs!  ;D

I'll be able to say I took the field against the greatest football team of all time  8-) ;)

EDIT: And by that time, I'll have recorded 1,000,000 tackles in the game. Man will my great-grandkids be proud!

Duffman, how is your sister in law doing? Was she able to get her final chemo treatment? Hopefully she is on her way to a complete recovery!

Just black out Minnesota for the videocast and let us way far away watch.

And I was one of 137,654, an NCAA record, in attendance.
