I freaking know it a great tv night as a sports fan I have no idea what to watch... Hockey, basketball, baseball, and FOOTBALL!

Here I fixed this for you. Plus, since I went to the 4 at St. Joe's, I don't have to attend Mass tomorrow and can hang a level 5 on. You, on the other hand must calibrate.

Last 18 holes for the year at the usual time...golfers mass at st Mary's extremely early then I will calibrate with Macallans 18!

Just black out Minnesota for the videocast and let us way far away watch.

Faunch will love that solution  ;D

Well, the misses and I just finished marathoning our way through Breaking Bad.  It was a great show, but I'm not sure I enjoyed it or am glad I watched.  I'll have to think that over before I decide.  But it is the best drama I can ever remember watching. I can only think of feature films (classics, of course, since only trash is made now days) which are in a similar or better league.

Bowmore would be better.  ;)

Schmidt played well. The Caps stunk, even when they didn't, as in the 2nd period where they had 19 Shots on Goal, and 12 Scoring chances, and no goals. I think they dealt the wrong goalie. Varly has been on top of his game the past couple years.

Lots of close plays out there today at the Natural Bowl. Would've been nice to watch it streaming.

Maybe Tom Stock will find it in the kindness of his heart to allow live streaming courtroom sketches of the action....

Scratch that. It might cause a decline in attendance.

And to think with all the advances in computers and technology, smart phones, and tablets I almost went to radio shack yesterday to buy one of these so that I could "tune in" to the Johnnie game while watching my daughters volleyball game.

Here's a link to Radio Shacks full line of portable am radio products.  Maybe the SJU Athletic Department could do a little marketing promotion by giving away or selling these w/ the SJU logo embossed on them.  Maybe Mark and Bryan could toss them down to the crowd form the radio booth during timeouts.

I am hoping that Sura will be O.K. for the stretch run,his running style is a nice complement to Certeza. The Injury to Bjorklund didn't need to happen as #74 Swingen was flagged with a personal foul for the shot he gave after the play was over- it's a shame.

Johnnies are doing enough to win,but definitely will need to clean things up for the final regular season games if they want to make the play-off bracket.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Maybe there is a middle ground on this issue where the fears of losing in-the-flesh attendees are soothed and out-of-state, out-of-time-zone, out-of-hemisphere fans can get to see home games.

I say try to run it through a platform where you would have to create a log-in and input your credit card information (which I believe SJU already has through JohnniesConnect and/or the Online Bookstore). I know there are some people in the administration that would groan because it's not "inclusive" enough if you charge a fee for the service, but they would not have to charge. It would only be used as a tool to verify your billing address and ensure you were outside of a prescribed radius from Collegeville (200 miles seems like a fair number at which to start). And, anyone inside the prescribed radius could pay a nominal fee for the service.

Faunch, that works only if Relevant Radio, 1330 am, remembers to switch their broadcast over to the game.  I am just outside 660 am, and 1330 am usually drops the ball for a game or two, yesterday being one of them.

Duffman, how is your sister in law doing? Was she able to get her final chemo treatment? Hopefully she is on her way to a complete recovery!

She got her last treatment.  We hung out yesterday, and she said that she just started feeling better a couple days ago.  She's looking forward to trying a beer next weekend--the pain and nausea meds kept her dry for quite a while!  Lots of nerve-racking scans will be in her future, but the doctors are pretty confident in her treatment.

I was able to listen to 660 am here in St. Paul

What really gets me is that the game is still streamed using RealMedia which due to Apple's meglomania doesn't work with thier devices. So I must sit freezing and uncomfortable at the computer at 5am (finally daylight savings came about) rather than warm in bed with the iPad and some earphones unless I jailbreak one of my devices.

So SJU is pretty much living in the internet dark ages when it comes to thier biggest commercial asset (after knowledge). And I find that ironic since the school seems to win one wired award after another.

EDIT: and yes I know RM is the defacto standard and it's Apple who are really in the wrong. Oddly I don't care at 5am.

Interesting.  I didn't think the Jays would make it back in.  I thought they would be in the top three vote getters outside the top 25, though.  I thought CON would drop out and I think it's fair they didn't.  I thought the Tommies would drop to 8, not 9, and that is exceptionally fair.  The Auggies with no votes is rough - I think the Johns picked up more and the Auggies lost more on reputation rather than total merit.  But that's often the way things work at the bottom of the list, I guess.
