Thanks for posting. . .
You're right; it is a good article. And thanks to the folks at D3Football for posting this to the West Region.

We might want to take it easy on the J-term talk. We wouldn't want anyone calling this board a J-term "smokefest."
:D

Smokefest...  I bet that was on offer at Macalester.

BA-ZING!
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

No that wasn't offered, but it happened. However the "History of Pornography" was offered, complete with a field trip over to the Faust Theatre on University Ave. in St. Paul and that's a fact Jack.

Looks like we've got some bandwagon jumpers of our own.   ;)  That's ok, we've always got room for more.

Ritz, which ones were good to see and which ones were not?  ???

It was great to see you.  I did a double take when I saw you.

Speaking of bandwagons, the purple contingent has been very, very quiet the past couple of weeks.

At this point, the only way Saint Glen can keep his record of year over year progress intact is to win the Stagg Bowl.  Anything less is regression.

I've stopped commenting on the poles....so my participation is back to a normalized level.
That said, I hope a UST victory this weekend doesn't pull Bethel back to 8...rather puts both teams in top 6/5/4, etc....that is if UST wins.

And you better be kind if you comment on the Poles in the future. As one of Polish descent, I am very sensitive to slurs in the form of jokes. >:(

When you can understand them.

Well I oughtta.....

I found a new beer last week.  I hoped it would be delicious but feared a big letdown.  No worries, mate.  She's beaut.  Cherry ripe.

What year did he start, I was a Govt major grad in 1990 and don't remember him, but I took all my classes from Murph and Prevost, with one class with Joe Farley.  Really appreciated my classes with all three.
My j-term were
87 Statistical Simulations: A baseball model.  Which was a learning about baseball stats and designing a start-o-matic type of baseball game based on early 1900's Northern League stats

88 internship with the infamous John Grunseth at Ecolab. Great guy btw but did like the ladies.

89 off only had to take three in four years

90 finished my credits early so didn't have to take

With the new look MIAC being so competitive and on the national scene having 4 teams in the D3Football Top 25 what is the future of the conference?
Will the competition be fierce for years to come or is this a one year occurrence?
Will the MIAC replace the WIAC as the toughest conference in the country?
How will the competition influence recruiting, especially in the Chicago area where the WIAC has been cherry-picking for years...

Feel free to comment  8-)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I don't think recruiting will change. My feeling is that for a kid from here to go to SJU or ust there is usually some reason-relative in area, etc. From listening to my son's tens teammates, UWW is still popular. But the kids look at other wiac schools and even st. Norbert. Short of winning the Stagg or being there on a regular basis, don't see a boost for the miac.

The Chicago area kids have a lot of options, not only the WIAC but also the CCIW, which has always done well with those kids - Augustana, Ill. Wesleyan, North Central, Wheaton, etc.  Loras has lots of Chicago kids.  The Midwest Conference does well.  Those conferences are closer geographically and offer some good options.

Sure, some of those kids will head up to MIAC for one reason or another, as 56321 says.  But that's a long haul every weekend to see the kid play.

It's not that bad of a drive and I believe the MIAC from my observation the best choice for my son I believe my son made the best choice!  Just going though the process from what I observed the MIAC schools need to put a stronger effort in Chicago...they were very weak in effort compared to the used car salesmen that pestered my son from the usual D2 & D3 colleges.  I wish MIAC as a whole would get their coaches down here more offen the MIAC has the best product to offer a lot of kids from Chicago, if the MIAC keeps winning the kids will come!

you may want to change your pick if that's going to be the score.

Chicagoland kids are overrated.  You'd be better off recruiting in Utah.
