With toddlers it's called a tantrum. With adults it's called an unmoderated web chat.

I've got a two-year old at home.  I'd rather deal with his tantrums than these yahoos.

A tradition unrivaled...

That me asking all those questions! What's the problem??? ;D

Honestly, the inmates are running the asylum, must filter out the crap!

When does he do his web chat?  I have assumed it's at 2am my time so I never bothered to look. Anyone know the MN local time for the chat?

Also, I may be wrong.  Maybe it is moderated and these are the best questions. Anyone try to ask, "Why the hell do you spend time chatting with these d***heads and their d***head questions?". Did it get through?

There is a Times guy on at the same time though I don't know if the questions are filtered. I have a feeling these actually are the good ones and some aren't included. But don't know for sure. They start at noon or 1, I think.

I think CT's onto something, though. I'm becoming convinced the questions are being left by Tommie trolls posing as Johnnies to make SJU look bad. Otherwise I'm questioning the value of my degree.

Someone is filtering the chat.  After seeing enough Ramler bashing questions and misspelling of his name, I decided to call one of those yahoos out on the carpet and typed a comment with a question that basically said "If your going to sit and bash someone, at least have the decency to type his name correctly.  It's Ramler not Rambler.".  I typed it in with 10 min left in the chat, so it had plenty of time to post.  It never showed up though.  My opinion is this does Gary or Frank zero good to do these acid throwing parties without someone to filter double questions.  If people don't like Ramler, fine let one anti Ramler question through then NO MORE!  If that means that only three questions get asked (Which basically is what is happening anyway, same questions over and over worded differently...) then fine!  You only have three questions for the day.

By the way, why do they want to beat the hell out of Frank R regarding SJU football anyway?  He's the beat writer, not a person that has any control of who plays QB or what plays should be run.  What a bunch of babies.
The last shall be first and the  shall be... FIRST AGAIN!!!

If these are the best questions then I would love to see the worst ones. The SCTimes should do an end of year "Best of the Worst" special where they publish the really dumb ones from the year.  If we're living in a cesspool then we may as well embrace the filth.

On a serious side, these will have to be cancelled for next season. It does nothing for morale to see this stuff.

Noon would be 5am. I'll give it a try next week (if I remember). I'll see if I can get a question in that is coded for a deeper message.

Sometimes CT you hit it right down the line and it curves around the foul pole for a homerun.

In non-chat news, I had dinner with ROR last night in an Irish pub in midtown Manhattan. We solved most of the world's problems, and he said he could move here...for a month at least.

Well I did bat .440 in my over 40 16 inch soft ball league last year!  Have You guys seen a 16 inch soft ball before??? Not as easy to get a base as you think...it's a Chicago sport and not really known out side of Chicago.  Anyway as a Tommie it fun hear the discord coming out of Collegeville! Sounds like you have a lot of meatballs commenting on Franks show.  Too bad really  the J's had a great season and I expect them to be ready for the Tommies next year for an epic match up!  Can't wait for my first trip to Collegeville!

I used to play it growing up in South Dakota years ago - and we played it without gloves (most gloves were too small anyway for a 16" ball). Throwing a 16" ball isn't as easy as it looks either.

Did a couple of end of the summer road trips to Chitown when in college. During one of those ventures, we found ourselves watching what must have been a local PD softball league (using the 16 in ball) on a Sunday afternoon. Ended up hanging around for a few games. Very entertaining & the games we saw were pretty intense to say the least!! Even though it seemed as though  every squad car within 50 miles was there, I still thought they were going to have to call for backup. You are right, you had to give that ball a heck of a poke for it to go anywhere!

I took a few 16" softballs to Iraq to play.  I never could get a game going, but it is nice to be able to play softball without a glove.  I do have a few in Dallas that I take to parks to try to get some games going.  It is definitely a lot of fun.

It's a great sport no glove needed but the ball is harder then you think a lot of third base men and short stops get broken fingers! it great for big guys that can really swing away, its not uncommon to see a few athletic guys weighing 275 to 300 lbs playing,  because its really hard to get the ball out of the infield. Being a guy weighing 300 lbs that can swing pretty well... but cant run if my life dependent on it, I found my last competitive niche as a DH the last few years. But old football injures came calling and I hung up my cleats, due to a much need knee surgery...Well I will now live vicariously though D3 football!!! ;D
