Our new addition.  Cute as a button when she isn't screaming!

A big atta way to you and your wife, Duff!  As Daddy to two little girls, I can say that your life has changed and will continue to change for the better.  More drama, yes, but mostly for the better.  ;) ;D
The artist formerly known as Carl Spackler... it's nice to be back!

All signs seem to point toward Bethel playing at North Central, not North Central at Bethel.  I guess we'll see tomorrow...

What signs are those???

Bethel is purportedly the #1 seed and the assumption on here and the CCIW board all postseason is that Bethel would host the quarterfinal matchup.

My bad!  I was going off the NCAA's site yesterday, where the bracket was set up as showing (but not explicitly saying) that NC was the home team.  They updated it this morning and now it looks different.  My apologies!  Looking forward to another BU home game this weekend... expect great things out of this team.  With Peterson out, the Royals will be hurting, yes, but do not underestimate how this team will handle adversity.  I've said it before and I'll say it again:  this is a special, special team.

CT, you were right. The Bears are better at choking than the Vikings. The best take away from us Vikings fans is that Cassel came in and win it for them. I can't wait to see how Frazer justifies dropping him again.

Anybody mention on the field goal block Bethels #18 clips I think #98 on the run back.  Just noticed it looking at the video on Bethels site.  Looks like you got away with a big one.

Seriously  :o This is the most ridiculously and comical statement about a blown call I've ever seen. Watch the video for yourselves.

For the sake of everyone who ever has or will participate in organized sports, I hope you never put on stripes.  :o  ;) That would have been the worst block in the back call of all time. Having watched it 4 or 5 times now, I'm seriously dumbfounded where you see any infraction. Am I missing the sarcasm here?
Its a push in the back.  Its poor blocking technique.  All he has to do is run in front of the player or to the side.  But your nuts if you say pushing a guy in the back #98 who just misses the tackle at the goal line isn't a foul your nuts.  Yes a lot of calls always get missed but it was a foul.  My critique comes from players today especially offensive linemen who foul on almost every play.  There is an art to blocking even down field as  I was a pulling guard in a wishbone veer option team who most of the time beat the rb to the end zone while making 3 plus blocks.  You dont have to touch a person on that type of play to block them but we come from different eras and I am all about technique first.

Let the record show that this is a Wheaton fan talking and we at North Central do not claim him at all!   ::)   :P

I do not see a clip.  I see a guy push him on the shoulder and hip.  Looks legal to me.

Back in the day we Wheaton blockers were all about technique!  Nowadays those unruly youngsters at Bethel are all about cheating on nearly every play!  And get off my damned lawn!

Your the person who either doesn't know a foul or is lying.  A push in the back which is clearly there is a foul.  Its on the video clear as day.  #18 pushing #98 in the back.  Thats whats wrong with this generation they believe lies. and lies to themselves.

Thunder,

.....any chance you have video or 16m of those 3 blocks to the end zone before the back got there??
Either your back sucked and was very slow or maybe you are telling a little white lie!!
Just asking, don't read into this:)

The clip in the grassy knoll......The NCAA wanted Bethel to advance obviously.

The legal block occurs 5 yards ahead of the ball-carrier.  You can't just turn your back or side when you see a blocker coming and expect a call.
